The Doctor found a wide grin on his face as Clark joked about his appearance, before zooming away to get changed, coming back what seemed only a mere second later, glancing at his watch the doctor corrected himself. Three seconds exactly. He looked a lot more normal now, and the Doctor eyed up the jacket, wondering if he'd look that good in it. Probably not. Then again, he liked his tweed. When Clark spoke about needing a new and better costume, the Time Lord looked thoughtful for a moment before he shouted out, "Ah ha!"
"I have just the thing!" He rushed into the closet-though obviously not as fast as the Kryptonian man of steel, of course, but quick enough that he almost tripped on a step on his way up the staircase, coming back with a big wooden trunk, dropping it down and ending up on his knees, blowing the dust off of the top and flipping the lid. "I know it's somewhere in here... on Gallifrey we have these spiders-Not a fan of them, never did like bugs much-" he shuddered. "But, their silk is stronger than another I've encountered, so far, greatly heat resistant too," he told him as he pulled out bits and bobs with a few thingy-ma-jigs and some whatsmacallits.
"And it's red too!" he exclaimed as he pulled out a rather impressive amount of red material. It was light and strong and he stood, stretching it. "I would suggest this as a cape... you can sew right? well even so, here, it folds tiny too you could easily fit all this in with your clothes there. For the rest might I suggest spandex? It's tight fitting and easy to hide under clothing...." Sure this was kind of spoilers but if he didn't tell him who would? He held it out to him with a beaming smile. "I'd like you to have it, always wondered what I do with it, now I know..."
He felt incredibly giddy and threw it over the man's shoulders before swaggering past, chin held high. He headed out into the main console room and down the glass stairs, yanking open the door and inhaling the fresh air- "Nothing like future Earth, of course not too far into the future, the Earth only lasts so long and then they all relocate," he told him, not even sure if he was behind him or not. He strode out into the middle of the street and let out a sound of surprise as he walked right into on coming traffic, trust him not to check first...
