Rory sighed and took off his scrubs shirt, having just come in from a long day at the hospital. Amy and the Doctor had gone out for the day to God knows where- he had been invited, but had declined to enjoy a good old fashioned day of normalcy. It wasn't something Amy or the Doctor could truly understand, but Rory needed these days off from traveling to center himself. It was too easy to lose yourself in the TARDIS. You simply became whoever you needed to be, whether it was a warrior, a mediator, a prince or a scientist. Doing that too long, Rory felt he might just forget who he was.
The kitchen was empty- Amy hadn't even left a note for when they'd be back. The note didn't trouble Rory as much as the fact that there wasn't even a fairwell pot of soup for him to have for tea when he got home. They had had to throw away all their leftovers when they came home earlier, as they had all started to green around the edges. Rory stuck his head in the empty fridge just to be sure, but it was as he had expected.
"Looks like I'm going to have to go out and pick up a curry," he sighed, tousling his hair a little. Picking up his abandoned shirt, he tossed it in the laundry bin as he went back to their bedroom to change clothes. Luckily he hadn't had any big messes to deal with in the hospital today, but he always mentally connected his used scrubs with filth after that one time they had had a salmonella outbreak. Throwing on a button down and some jeans, Rory returned barefoot to the living room, grabbing the phone as he went.
"The little shop next to the grocery will be the shortest walk.." he mused to himself as he sat on the squishy couch. "But then Amy hates that place now, ever since she got food poisoning that once," Rory frowned at the phone. If Amy came back and saw the container from that place, it would probably put her in a poor mood. Though it wasn't the shop's fault she had been newly pregnant at the time.
Before Rory could make up his mind, he heard the distinctive sound of the TARDIS landing. That would solve the problem! Amy and the Doctor could decide where they were going for tea. And if they'd already eaten, then he could punish Amy for forgetting him by getting his curry from the little shop he liked. Rory jumped up and walked into the back garden.
"Hey! Did you guys already have tea? I was thinking about going to get a curry!" he shouted as he came down the steps, only to look up and realize he wasn't looking at a blue box. It was perhaps the farthest thing from a blue box anyone could have put in their backyard. A box it a relatively simple thing that is easy to understand. This was some sort of thing that he couldn't quite figure the shape of. The one thing he could tell was that it was glittering, as if it was made of stars, or perhaps broken glass.

It had been a long while for Akira as he hadn't had much to do the past several days. Or any period of time, depending how you looked at it from a Timelord perspective. The last several days he was bored out of his mind having to fight off aliens or some sort of bad and terrible thing. "Oh Beasty, where shall we go now? I want to interact with someone. I'm bored and a little bit alone. But where shall we go?" he said in a sing-song voice. He flipped some switches and turned dials on the center column. Looking up at the screen he watched the numbers dial at random.
He kept flicking through them looking for a good number. Some thing interesting and fun. 500,346? no, 3006? no, 486,000? no, 2010? yes. Akira grinned. That's were he was gunna go. Spinning the dial to a random date. Hitting buttons and pulling things he was going to land.
Akira smiled as his TARDIS slowed down as it was landing. Slowly coming to a stop Akira looked at the screens to see the out side. "Perfect." he said excitedly and started flicking a few switches and turning a few dials he powered down his TARDIS and grabbed the small little white box from the center column. He grabbed his bag and slipped the little box inside and headed for the doors. He was to excited that he didn't realize someone was out-
"Oh, Hallo."

A little girl stepped out of the glittering thing, though Rory wasn't sure exactly how- she was carrying a bag and just now seemed to notice him.
"Oh, Hallo."
Rory was at a loss for what to say. Yes, he had dealt with aliens on his own before, but not this alone. What if she was bent on world conquest or something? That was Rory's general experience- aliens came to Earth to blow it up or take it over, they never just popped in for tea.
Rory cleared his throat. "Uhm, hallo there. You seemed to have parked your... thingie... in our backyard." He couldn't decide whether he should tell her to move it or not- she might get angry and turn into some sort of monster. He inwardly shuddered at the memory of Jenny, loping down the hall with an angry human face affixed to the enormous body. Even if he didn't piss her off, she might be here to ask the Doctor for help, or something.
Why weren't the Doctor and Amy back yet??
"..Sorry, did you just hear a loud noise? It sort of went whee-whoo, whee-whoo?"Okay, so his TARDIS impression wasn't the best. But he certainly had heard it, so surely the TARDIS was nearby?

Akira gave a small smile when the other spoke. He was adorable. He watched the mans facial expressions as he talked, with a curious look to his smiling face. "Oh, you mean my TARDIS?" he giggled lightly patting the side gently. "It's a shower by the way. I like it, it's different." he giggled softly and tuned towards the male. His impression to the TARDIS noise was cute.
"Yea, I heard it. That's what made the noise. And yes I do realize the breaks were on. Love the sound after I accidentally left them on when flying to the moon." he smiled. He made a face realizing he was telling this all rather eagerly to the man. But then again, he did know what the TARDIS sound was like. So he had to of met another Timelord somewhere.
"Have you seen another TARDIS somewhere before?" he asked curiously making a face and walking closer to the other male. He was rather the same height as he was. Very cute indeed but he was married, as Akira noted the ring on his left hand.

"Oh, you mean my TARDIS?"
"Your TARDIS?" This was a new development. Rory hadn't spoken with the Doctor directly on the subject, but he was under the impression from Amy that the Doctor was the only Timelord left. TARDISes were, to Rory's mind, a distinctively Timelord thing- no other species they had visited had had one. So how did she get a TARDIS?
"It's a shower by the way. I like it, it's different."
"Yes, I-I noticed that." Rory confirmed, losing some control of his mouth in his confusion. "Though I'm sort of surprised you wouldn't have any problems with mildew..."
"Have you seen another TARDIS somewhere before?"
"As far as I was aware, there was only one TARDIS still in existence. I mean, the Doctor would have known if... Are you quite sure yours is a TARDIS?" he was only putting off the inevitable at this point, stalling until Amy and the Doctor returned.

"As far as I was aware, there was only one TARDIS still in existence. I mean, the Doctor would have known if... Are you quite sure yours is a TARDIS?"
"The Doctor?" he gave a small smile as the name rang a bell. So this man knew the Doctor. Akira wondered how he knew the Doctor as well. But no wonder his TARDIS brought him here. It locked onto a spot where the Doctors TARDIS showed up. Silly Beast, he thought. "I know the Doctor, and yes this is a TARDIS. Have a look if you don't believe me. And don't worry, I'm not going to run away with you. I'm not like that besides, I see that you're married." he told him and opened the shower doors revealing the dim light from inside the TARDIS.
Reaching in his bag he walked back over to the center column and place the little white box on it. With in seconds the TARDIS lit up on the inside so everything could be seen. "Oh where are my manners, I'm The Vanquisher. But I don't like that name so much so call me Akira." he turned to see if the man had followed.

The girl did not seem upset by the Doctor's name, which Rory took to be a good sign, though he still didn't really know what to make of her.
"I know the Doctor, and yes this is a TARDIS. Have a look if you don't believe me. And don't worry, I'm not going to run away with you. I'm not like that besides, I see that you're married."
"Well that makes one of you, I suppose," muttered Rory as he came closer, slightly pained by this comment.
"Oh where are my manners, I'm The Vanquisher. But I don't like that name so much so call me Akira."
This struck an alarm inside Rory's head. The Doctor was called the Doctor because he liked to help people, Rory had figured out- he'd certainly been upset when River suggested the word Doctor could mean anything else. So this girl was called the Vanquisher because...?
Quite suddenly Rory flashed back to the Doctor's discussion about the Corsair, who had even changed genders once, though he still seemed pretty rough and tumble to Rory because of that tattoo.
"Uhm, sorry, but where did a little thing like you get a name like that?"

Akira watched as he spoke and moved forward. From a slight feeling Akira must have struck a nerve somewhere. He wondered what the man was thinking. He still had not told him his name yet. He couldn't help but smile. He was an odd one but it was better that way.
"Uhm, sorry, but where did a little thing like you get a name like that?"
Akira couldn't help but giggle at this. Poor little thing has not clued in yet. "Oh my. You're just a cute sweet thing, aren't you." he stated. "It takes a while for a few people to figure it out. I'll give you a hint." Akira took his hands laying them flat against his chest to indicate he wasn't a girl. He giggled lightly knowing how embarrassed he would probably get. He liked it when boys blushed because of him. And the voice didn't give it away either.
"I'll give you two more hints if you can't guess." he giggled and smiled at him. This man was just something he was looking for. On the plus side he knew the Doctor so he knows some things about what a TARDIS is and what it can do. So much fun he will have with this one.

"Oh my. You're just a cute sweet thing, aren't you." he stated. "It takes a while for a few people to figure it out. I'll give you a hint."
Akira seemed to be gesturing at her dress. Rory looked over it, clearly struggling to understand what it had to do with the name. What could a frilly dress have to do with a title like 'The Vanquisher'?
"Sorry, just not getting it." He admitted as he lingered just outside the door.
"I'll give you two more hints if you can't guess."
"It might help if you tell me what exactly you vanquish, I think."

"I'm a Timelord. I vanquish the enemy. Like Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels. Do you know who they are? You probably do, seeing as how you know the Doctor." he smiled lightly lowering his hands. Akira was pretty sure the Doctor had ran into those things since the Doctors name was everywhere. He took a deep breath.
"I'm call the Vanquisher. People think it shouldn't be appropriate for me. Well it's my name because I'm a guy." he gave a little smirk waiting to see the man get embarrassed. "If I'm not mistaken, you haven't given a name." he smiled lightly and giggled softly. He was so excited having someone new to tease with. Even if he was married, still teased him.

"I'm a Timelord. I vanquish the enemy. Like Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels. Do you know who they are? You probably do, seeing as how you know the Doctor."
"Ok, but the Doctor does all those things as well, and he's called the Doctor." Rory pointed out, tugging on his shirt a bit as he did so.
"I'm call the Vanquisher. People think it shouldn't be appropriate for me. Well it's my name because I'm a guy."
Rory glanced up at Akira, slightly taken aback. He didn't really have a problem with boys dressing as girls- after traveling with the Doctor, he certainly seen stranger things. Besides, Amy had forced him into a kilt once himself, so he sort of understood the freedom of movement you got from a skirt. But Akira looked more like a girl than- well more like a girl than Amy even did, sometimes. Not that his wife was manly or anything. But Akira was distinctly feminine, to the point you wouldn't even question. It wasn't just the clothes, it was the way his face was shaped, and his mannerisms.
A thought struck him suddenly.
"Why? You obviously dress and act very feminine. Why didn't you just regenerate as a girl? Not to be rude or anything. It's just the Doctor was telling us about this bloke called the Corsair-"
"If I'm not mistaken, you haven't given a name."
"Ah," Rory ducked his head suddenly in embarrassment. "I'm Rory Williams. ...Or Rory Pond, if you wanted to look at it that way."

Akira was just loving how the man was acting. So adorable he thought. He was always fond of people like that. Get flustered over the littlest thing he did or said. So fun to watch them go into a shocked look when he told them he was a guy. Every time they did not consider his voice was to deep to be a girls.
"Rory Williams.. Or Rory Pond. I like that name. Just rolls right off the tongue doesn't it." he giggled lightly. It was a very interesting name to him. He figured it was the Doctors doing in calling him Rory Pond. He just had a feeling about it. "Also, I dress like this because I want to. I haven't regenerated into a girl because I much rather be a boy. I was born a boy. When I was a teenage. Long time ago. I got fascinated by boys and couldn't regenerated into a girl." he gave a smile.
"Besides Beast likes me as a girly-boy anyways. Since it is neither a girl or a boy." he patted the side of his TARDIS. He then looked back at Rory. "So, where is the Doctor? I suppose your wife is with him too?" he tilted his head slightly.

Rory shrugged. He had seen stranger things traveling the universe. Like sofas that could talk, and vampires who were secretly fish. A boy dressed as a girl certainly wasn't going to phase him now.
"So, where is the Doctor? I suppose your wife is with him too?"
Rory leaned against the doorframe. "Yeah, they're out and about doing... something... don't really remember. Something about... meeting Elvis... on Mars, I think? No, that was last Tuesday..."

"Yeah, there out and about doing... something... don't really remember. Something about... meeting Elvis... on Mars, I think? No, that was last Tuesday..."
"Elvis? Oh he's a weird fellow. Good, but weird." he made a weird face but pushed the thought to the back of his mind. He focused his attention on Rory again. "I could go for some tea. Would you like join me?" he asked with a smile. "We can take Beast if you'd like?" he pointed to the inside of the TARDIS. He walked inside and put the small white box on the center column and the TARDIS inside lit up.
"Know any good places? Anywhere you'd like." he smiled. He always liked going to different places for tea. Meeting different people and drinking different teas. He turned to look back at Rory to see if he had come inside.

"I could go for tea. Would you like join me?"
"Actually, I was just thinking about going to the little curry shop up the road. It's shorter walking distance that the fish n' chips place, but it's still a ways..."
"We can take Beast if you'd like?"
Amy would probably kill him for wandering off in someone else's spaceship (well, it was a TARDIS, really). But he had been talking with this fellow for a few minutes now without being brutally murdered, which he took to be a rather good sign, since people who wanted to kill him usually didn't waste time about it. And Amy had spent loads of time with Doctor on her own without telling him. Of course, Amy did have the benefit that the Doctor had met her first as a little girl, which was a card Rory couldn't play here, but surely a trip up the road to get tea wasn't that heinous a crime.
"Well, alright, but only just up the road a bit, yeah?"
