Cypher felt her vision brighten as she came back to wakefulness. The brightness seemed to be amplified by the fact the room was white, very white. She clenched her eyes, trying to will the light to dim and it seemed to do that as she struggled to open her eyes, it seemed the lights of... Could it be called a ship? Where was she? Cypher.... She didn't remember. Cypher? Was that her name? It seemed like a rubbish name to call yourself. What about Annie or Hope. Those were nice names but they didn't seem like they fit her, but Cypher, as rubbish as the name was, it seemed to be right, despite she didn't like the meaning of said name. It was a security protocol, but it also identified a person having no worth? She briefly wondered what her parents could have been thinking. No, she didn't feel anything about if she had parents, it was just a blank, like she had forgotten them on purpose or a very long time ago without so much as by your leave. Perhaps they died and it hurt too much to remember?
Cypher sighed as her eyes adapted to the dim lights and she couldn't help it, she coughed. She felt so tired that she hadn't even noticed the energy escape with the expelling of air. She crawled to a railing and forced herself to use it to pull herself up. She needed to move around, but she was tired, and she felt odd, like something wasn't right, but she didn't quite remember exactly what it was. She pushed the stray thoughts away as she tried to focus on the here and now and it was becoming exceedingly difficult as she walked next to the rails as she felt the ship spinning. She held on to the rails as tightly as she could and wondered what the bloody hell was going on here. Cypher felt her thoughts trail off as she fought to keep her eyes open when the ship seemed to finally stop spinning.
Cypher felt the ship stop spinning just in time to see the doors burst open and light flood the room. It was so bright that she had to shield her eyes again. When she felt her eyes finally seem to adjust to the light. She managed to use the railing to help her out of the large room and towards the light and she found herself, she gathered was Britain, twentieth century. Before she stepped out, a key dropped from the entry way. Cypher picked up the object that had dropped, it turned out to be a strange key. She sighed as she stepped out, she lost her footing and fell out the door. "Ah!" She yelled as she fell out the entrance and on to the alleyway ground. The door shutting behind her. Once outside, she noticed something; it was a wardrobe, a rather large one with strange writing on it, could almost be comparable to crop circles.
She didn’t think much after that as she started in a fit of coughs as her breath released golden energy with each cough.

So this was 2012 and Romana wandered around still wondering where she had landed. A randomizer was a guaranteed way not to be followed and it had served her and the Doctor well when they had attempted to escape the Black Guardian during their mission for the Key to Time. But this time the randomizer was used to guarantee that someone like Rassilon or any other official Gallifreyan found the disposed Time Lord President, which was still a sore spot with Romana to say the least. Time Lords always had a difficult time giving up power and a political coup was a severe blow to Romana's ego. She sighed a bit and leaned up against her TARDIS which had taken the form of a Ambulance parked on the street. Romana muttered, "Do I even look like an EMT?" She said to the TARDIS. "I suppose this is what I get from a piece of the Doctor's TARDIS." She sighed and shook her head, "But at least the Chameleon circuit is at least working."
She pulled out her bag of Jelly Babies and snacked on a few, she recognized none of her surroundings and she said, "I might as well be on Woman Wept, for all I know."

Cypher was dressed in a pair of older women's clothing, she wore a gray skirt with a black top, and she was barefoot. She looked liked like she was wearing her grandmother's clothes or perhaps her mothers'. She found herself still completely exhausted and hungry, don't forget hungry. One thing she was craving had to be very sweet, and perhaps a little bitter, but she wasn't entirely sure what it was that she wanted. Perhaps something warm to drink... She tried to think about the image and her mind, something warm and very dark but sweet, very sweet. Oh she had no idea hereself what it was she was looking for, only that she wanted it right now. Cypher still held her key to... Her wardrobe you could call it and made her way past the entrance of the alley before she broke out in a fit of coughs coupled with the expelling of Regeneration Energy, not noticing the gold energy that was being released as she kept her eyes firmly shut as she coughed.
It was then she noticed something not very far away, it looked like an Ambulence... Was that the right word? Yes, she supposed it was. Cypher's hair was a mess, her ginger hair was a bit in her face but her blue eyes managed to take in the sight. "Um, excuse me," She called to a woman. "Can you tell me where I am?"
It was then Cypher suddenly felt something and she wasn't sure what it was but if felt the ground below her was spinning at hundreds of miles per hour and they were falling. It took everything Cypher had to not scream out in a blind panic.

A woman came from the alley way, which was probably a strange place for a woman to come from particularly one so oddly dressed. She seemed a mishmash of things and none of them seemed to current to the time frame Romana was in. She asked a question that Romana could no way possibly answer. Romana had figured out it was at least 2012 by the way people were dressed but other than that she had no clue where she was either.
Romana shook her head, "I don't.....well I know it's Earth...but...."
But the woman seemed disoriented and looked all panicky and looked like she was about to fall over. "Steady now...." Romana said firmly and grasped the woman by the shoulders. "Take a breath and exhale slowly."
Romana smiled softly and then reached in her pocket and pulled out a purple jelly baby and plopped it in the woman's hand. "Here now....chew on that. It might help at least calm your nerves some."
Romana looked at the woman and then said , "You don't look like you're from around here."
Romana reached in and pulled out another Jelly baby, an orange colored one and ate one. "Course....I could say the same thing about myself. I am not from around here either. I am....well I am passing through. Not going anywhere in particular."

'Earth?' She mentally thought to herself, it seemed right and within her mind she could a solar system map in her mind, as if it was in action and it was so Bloody confusing. Cypher was at a loss. "I can feel the ground under my feet moving," She admitted. "It's falling, why is it falling?" She askd, her voice sounded like it was pleading. Not realizing she was experiencing what most Gallifreyan children would, but she had no understanding of what was going on.
Lucky for her, the woman's grip seemed to anchor her away from the sensations a Time Lord would be very familiar with, but a newly made Gallifreyan Time Lord who hadn't had the chance to grow with the aid of the academy, Cypher was severely out of her depth. She just wanted to push out of the way because it was being confusing.
Cypher took the sugary food and tried chewing to calm her a bit. "I don't remember much after waking up in that white room near... I think it was a console," She tried to explain after she had swallowed it. "I think my name is Cypher." She told the woman who didn't look much older than she did. "It was the only name that makes sense and "Tee-Are thirty-five," Cypher told the woman, not realizing that it was an old TT capsule, even older than the type of Tardis that the Doctor rode around in, not that Cypher would ever know that.

"Falling?" Romana questioned. Trying to figure out what was causing this woman to act this way. "I don't quite....motion sickness?" Romana pondered out loud, trying to piece this all together. "We're not....well....not exactly. You shouldn't be....." Romana bit her lip trying to figure this out. There was no way this woman should feel any of this, at least not any normal human woman. Romana ate another Jelly baby. "Relax....we're not going anywhere. Gravity on this planet has us firmly planted, unless someone decides to alter it, and that would take someone with a massive intelligence above....well excluding mine of course. But anyway. we're not going to go sliding off, or falling off this planet." She smiled softly, "Look at me....do you see me falling? Of course not. So relax. Focus on something else...." She smiled softly, "Like...." She pulled out her bag of Jelly babies, "Like a Jelly baby, for instance."
The woman seemed addled and mentioned a white room and then a strange number. Romana frowned, "Cypher......" She paused a moment, "Is that short for something?" Romana frowned, "T.....what? So let me get this straight....you have no memory whatsoever except coming out something white and sterile and....." Romana paused a moment and then said firmly, "Show me.... you came out of the alleyway which means where ever you came from can't be far off."
Of course this could be a mistake, going with a strange woman to a strange place. There was a possibility that this could be a trap. Romana had thought that the randomizer had caused her to ditch Rassilon but what if this woman was a way to bring her back to Gallifrey. But Romana saw no deception from this woman, and the woman seemed almost crying her eyes out for help. Romana's shoulders slumped some. She had plotted her course and she was going to follow it out.
Romana said softly, "Well Cypher....my name is Romanadvoratrelundar, but everyone calls me Romana. Don't be afraid, I'll try and help you the best I can."

Cypher felt like she was losing her bloody mind and she was certain of it. She wasn't even sure what was going on exactly, the sensations she was experiencing and her mind was open to so many things at once, she wasn't exactly sure what she was feeling and managed to keep herself from coughing again. She tried following the woman's directions as she looked at the woman. Cypher tried to keep her focus on the person and push things away from her, at least the sensations, but it was so hard. She wanted to stick her head between her legs and puke. "Jelly babies?" She asked and tried to not laugh and couldn't help it and it came out in harsh coughs releasing more of the Regeneration energies. She tried covering her mouth, the energy seemed to slip through her fingers.
Cypher said, "Sorry, I've been coughing a lot since I woke, not sure why." Her eyes having been screwed closed when she coughed, she didn't even notice the energy that had escaped from her lips. "Thank you Romana," She told her and led the way towards the alleyway until she made it back to the wardrobe and opened both doors outwards revealing a vessel of some kind. (Think 3rd Doctor's Tardis with the 9th & 10th Doctor's Console but white.) "That's the white room I woke up in ," Cypher told her, pointing out the room and she suddenly felt cold, like she had a sudden chill and she wasn't quite sure what it was attributed to.
"When I opened the door, this fell out of thin air I thought," Cypher told the other woman who looked her age a key. "Not sure what it means or how it's bigger on the inside," She commented, through the console had a great deal of exposed wires, the ship was old, that much was painfully obvious. Cypher broke out in another fit of coughs and expelling energy, not really knowing what was going on. She really had the urge to climb back into that room, shut the doors and lay on the cold cool floors. Maybe there was a bed she could curl up in.

Romana shook her head, apparently Jelly Babies weren't the poor woman's thing. "Well....maybe not Jelly Babies then. Maybe something else."
The woman suddenly coughed and a stream of energy came out of the poor woman and Romana's eyes went wide, it was a regeneration and apparently not a very good one either. The woman, a child. Well in Gallifreyan terms, a child. Romana could sense youth and inexperience, so a child she was. Romana's hearts suddenly softened. How could she think the worse of this woman earlier when it was clear that the woman was mixed up and confused. Romana also felt disgusted, who would dare abandon a Gallifreyan child like this. Romana followed the woman and found her going towards a wardrobe, well it didn't take Romana too long to figure out what it was. It was a TARDIS, but a TARDIS of ancient design. Romana ran her fingers over it, looking at the ancient Gallifreyan script that she knew so very well from her days as a child herself.
Cypher showed her the key and Romana said, "Don't lose it...it's your key."
The woman went in and collapsed on the floor. Romana looked around, "I wish I had taken TARDIS history instead of the life cycle of the Gallifreyan flutterwing."
She looked at the console panel and tried to find a schematic of the ship itself. "Come on....I need the Zero room...." She muttered to herself. The ship wouldn't so much as yield one bit of information to her."
She kicked the panel down below, "Come on you stupid piece of archaic junk. Your owner is sick.....I have no intention of stealing you, I've got my own transport."
She clicked a few more buttons on the panel and finally a map appeared and Romana nodded, "Thank you..... "
She looked at the woman, "Cypher....I need to get you somewhere were you can recover, on your ship." She paused a moment, "I know who you are. Well sort of...."
She gave the woman her hand, "Can you manage to stand? There's a room here I can take you, it's where we go when we...." Romana paused a moment, how did one talk to a Gallifreyan child? "It's where our race goes when we....change." Romana sighed, "I've only gone through it once myself as well. Although not quite as violently as you. But seeing this is your first time, that might explain a lot."

By the way, I made it through the day. Cypher managed to climb in and shut the doors behind both her and the woman, locking it so no one could open it but either she or the woman she had brought with her. What Cypher could use was a really long nap. She watched as the woman seemed to take in all the details of the ship. Cypher managed to collapse on the floor, it was further than she thought she was going to make it. She dragged herself up and made it to the seat not far away at all. It felt like the ship was obscuring her senses, preventing her from feeling the movement of the planet and how it was falling.
"What is the Gallifreyan flutterwing?" Cypher couldn't help but ask. She had never heard of such a thing. Then again, she didn't get what Gallifreyan was in the first place. Though there was genuine curiousity in her voice. Something told her she was going to have to learn on her own.
She raised an eyebrow at the woman who kicked a panel and started yelling at the ship. Cypher was worried she might need to interfere, and she didn't really feel up to it. When the woman turned to look at her and began talking, Cypher felt thankful that she came across her at all. Though she was filled with questions that she could ask at a later time.
"Alright," she told the other woman as she she used a littl bit of leverage to stand up. "Change?" She asked tiredly. Cypher had no memory of changing and idly thought came to her mind. Her mind not completely thinking about everything the woman was saying. "Please lead on."

The woman seemed filled with questions and inquired of Romana what a flutterwing was. Romana sighed, "A bit like a butterfly of sorts."
Finally managing to get the information that she needed to get and having Cypher raise to her feet. Romana supported the girl and traversed the halls of her ship. The girl seemed also to have no memory of her regeneration either. Romana sighed, "It's what we do if we're dying, sick, or sometimes if we're just worn and tired of existence itself. " Romana smiled softly, "Bit like a caterpillar I suppose. It makes a cocoon and then emerges a butterfly. Course we don't make a cocoon though. You've died Cypher, even though you don't remember that. Probably the effect of the change, the regeneration we call it. That energy you spilled out, it's part of our biological process when we change."
Romana finally finding the appropriate room opened the door, "This is a Zero room....all Time Lords have them to help them out through difficult regenerations or if they are feeling a bit sick."
Romana closed the doors of the room, "Are you feeling any better?"

Cypher listened to Romana and fell back on the seat and let Romana help her get past the halls of the ship. It was the information that was provided her scared her. She died? She was like a butterfly and in some ways it made sense. It made her wonder what she had been like before all of this. She didn't remember being anyone else but her, this her and it hadn't been long. Sadly, she didn't even know what she really looked like to tell the truth.
"Zero room," She repeated. The room seemed odd to her, but she seemed to grasp. "Did something go wrong with me?" She asked the older woman as she seemed to be doing better, the shaking had finally stopped. Cypher took a breath and muttered, "It smells like roses." She began to move away from Romana and breathed deeply as she moved deeper into the grayish room, it was lighter yet darker than than the console room. "I feel fine now," She admitted to the woman finally smiling.
"But I still feel exhausted, sleepy even," She told her as she approached the center of the room and wasn't sure what was driving her. Cypher panicked for a moment as she felt her body shifted in gravity as if she was laying down on a bed. Her body was levitating several feet from the ground, only her messy red hair seemed to be experience gravity in its natural state. "What's happening!"

The poor woman seemed half scared. The information seemed to make her tense up and Romana bit her lips not really sure if she had done this properly. But Romana had never been a mother before. She didn't know what information would be proper for this obvious Time Tot.
The womana was asking her if something had gone wrong with her and Romana shrugged, "I....I don't know. Some people just have rough regenerations."
Romana found herself sitting down slightly, well more like levitating in a siting position since there really weren't any chairs or decor in the room to begin with. She took a deep breath, "It does smell a bit like roses, but roses are sort of a comforting scent."
The girl said she was tired and exhausted and Romana nodded, "That's to be expected. Just rest. You're very fortunate you know to have found another of your race who was around to help you during this time."
Romana watched as the girl wasn't use to being in the Zero room and Romana chuckled lightly, "This room is a bit different than other rooms. Gravity and some of the laws of the universe don' work as well . It's fine."
Romana said quietly, "Do you know where you're from? What chapter you're from on Gallifrey? You are a Time Lord, well Time Lady to be precise. "

Cypher tried her best to listen as she found herself resting mid air and it was helping her a great deal. She had no idea it was written in her triple helixed tna for all of this which was only slightly different than other Time Lords and Ladies. Her genetics weren't completely well put together and her aging was slightly off. Not that she or any of the Time Lords would know that for a very long time.
"It is, it makes me think of yellow and pink roses, though it may be the room," She admitted as a sense of warmth seemed to pass through her. Cypher wondered if it was the ship's doing idly as she tried to stay awake. She had no idea that it was normal for Time Tots to sleep a multitude of hours until they reached adulthood which she obviously hadn't made it to.
Cypher shook her head. "I don't remember anything at all," She replied with a yawn. "Can you tell me about Gallifrey, may I will remember something," Cypher offered, her voice trailing off as she began to doze deeper and deeper into a healing sleep. Her mind felt the lull of singing and she wasn't quite sure where it was coming from, only that it was beautiful.

Romana frowned, This wasn't the way it was suppose to be. All Time Lords knew what Gallifrey was, or at least they normally did. This didn't make sense at all. Not to mention, she thought that the woman's sense of memory would return in the Zero Room.
"So you mean to tell me you have absolutely no memory at all. Nothing about your family, your friends, how you got here into this ship or any details of your life before bumping into me?"
Romana looked a bit unnerved, "I was hoping that that this room would help you remember something and that your memory issues were due to your regeneration." She scratched her head, "Apparently, I surmised incorrectly."
Romana took a deep breath trying to think what she could do, she had never ran into such a Tabula rasa before. Romana began to walk back and forth thinking and contemplating what to do. "You shouldn't even be here. You should be back on Gallifrey learning on how to be a proper Time Lady. Not that that's going to do much good...." Romana sighed, "Gallifrey is gone. But if it did exist....you'd be doing your studies and learning how to be a proper Time Lady. "
Romana shook her head, "I don't know what to do, I've never met a Time Tot that was totally and completely a blank slate before." Romana slumped back down into a seat and pulled out her trusted bag of Jelly Babies and licorice allsorts and munched on a few, truly this was a dilemma of Timelordian proportions.

"Maybe I was put on this ship before Gallifrey went away?" She asked as Cypher tried to open her eyes but the singing was becoming more insistent. It was telling her that she needed to sleep, that it was time for all good Time Tots to rest. Cypher shook her head as her eyes trailed to the scarf that Romana wore. "White," She said as a flash filled her senses. "White robes," She muttered as a sharp pain flashed behind her eyes. Cypher drew her hand to cover her eyes. "Scientists," she muttered under breath.
Cypher screwed her eyes shut. She wanted to not remember what it was, it scared her and she refused to look at Romana. "What if it's really bad Romana?" She asked. "What if I made myself forget?"
"What makes a good proper Time Lady?" She asked. Cypher wasn't a hundred percent, but she was rather certain she didn't want to be a good proper Time Lady. They sounded... Proper. Something told her, she wanted to be adventurous, not sitting with her hands in her lap. She blinked, where did that come from. She decided then, she wasn't a fan of the color white. If she was remembering, she didn't want to remember anymore.
She felt herself very awake, no longer slipping into abyss of well needed sleep. Though she was certain she would fall asleep soon. Cypher tried to stay awake, she needed to talk until she finally fell asleep.
"I wonder... How old do you think I am?" Cypher asked. A singing voice whispered to her in a language that was hard to understand. She didn't notice writing appear on the wall, in Gallifreyan, Ninety-Six.
