turn off your mind, relax and float downstreamlay down all thoughts, surrender to the voidthat you may see the meaning of withinthat ignorance and hate may mum the dead( - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ) Humans were always doing one thing: expanding their knowledge. So, Izzy was here doing what she did best and that was watching over these humans to make sure nothing bad would go on. Where is she, you ask? Upon a spaceship that had the mission of expanding the knowledge humans had. The ships name was something like, 'Wisdom's Glory,' or something silly like that. Honestly, Izzy didn't really pay much attention to what the ship's name was, just focused on the fact that these humans were planning on taking a journey out into space in the name of exploration. From her experience, going anywhere without a plan was never a good idea, so she had to go with them. Signing up to the crew was easy, but actually becoming apart of the crew was a completely different issue as the interview wasn't the easiest thing she went through. There were also physical tests involved, but Izzy managed to pass them quite nicely. Though, she signed up under an alias and everyone called her Hannah. It wasn't a special name, but one that worked well enough since it got her on the ship. Now it had been a few days since they shipped off, and everything seemed to be working just fine, but Izzy felt uncomfortable about something. Unable to place her finger on it, she was unable to get any sleep, so she began to walk the ship in hopes of finding what was bothering her gut.
Sandals flapped against the metal of the ship while her green dress ruffled against Izzy's bare, white knees. The sleeves of the dress engulfed her hands with the fabric while a green strap wrapped around her waist. Soft silk of the dress covered her torso and left a lot to the imagination since it covered practically everything her chest had to offer. There was also a straw conical Asian hat upon her head, shading her hazel eyes and her platinum hair. However, her hair could only be seen touching her shoulder on her left side while the other was buzzed.
Crossing her arms in front of her stomach, Izzy's eyes surveyed the ship carefully while she tried to find what was bothering her. For all she knew, she could just be having a small episode of paranoia, yet she still had to check everything out. Most people would probably shrug off the feeling and go back to sleep, but Izzy couldn't sleep if something bothered her. After all, her gut feeling funky was a mystery and often that mystery was tied to something happening around her, and would be something that could effect her. Soon, Izzy's steps took her to the recreation room where several crew members were hanging out. Her eyes watched them as she stood in the doorway, examining them with a careful eye and putting their actions into her memory. A soft chuckle came to her lips at the thought of memory, knowing full well that the Doctor had a much better memory than what Izzy could ever hope for. Shaking her head, Izzy diverted her attention back to her little mission as she trotted away from the rec room, believing nothing important was going on in there.
Wandering the corridors, Izzy felt her gut tighten up even more, and she swore she could hear something that sounded like a faint hiss. Yet, Izzy couldn't be sure since the noise was just on the very edge of her senses. Attempting to follow the noise, Izzy weaved through the corridors and quickly noticed the noise getting louder within her ears. Making another turn in the corridor, a figure came into Izzy's face which made her quickly bounce back wards as she stared at the person before her. However, before she could acquire a good look, the lights flickered off for a few seconds along with an unsettling noise that made Izzy believe the power was out. After a few moments, a red light filled the corridors showing that the emergency lighting and power were both working. Now Izzy felt like she was running out of time since she knew for a fact that the emergency power was good for at least twelve hours, assuming no one tampered with that too. 'Course, Izzy couldn't help but think so. Either way, her focus went back to the figure, but that figure was long gone, clearly using the moment of darkness to escape. That told Izzy that whoever she saw, it was the person behind it all. It had to be, right?
Turning on her heel, Izzy figured she should regroup with everyone only to have another face right in front of her. This time, Izzy's heart felt like it just lept right out of her heart as she stumbled back wards, "Oi, don't go sneaking up on people like that," she announced with a startled voice. Tipping her hat back, she stared at the person before her and rose a brow slowly, "Who are you?" she queried, unsure who it was because of the very poor lighting...

"Identify yourself" A mechanical voice stated. Demanding the same from the woman who asked the same.
Footsteps followed and finally a woman came from the shadows seeming rather annoyed, "K9....this is no time to go wandering off."
K9 responded, "Mistress....my sensors indicate a power surge from the main energy grid."
Romana shook her head, "Well of course there was a power surge, K9 otherwise we wouldn't be wandering around in the dark."
She looked at the woman that had bumped into K9 and Romana smiled softly, "You'll have to excuse K9, he can be quite demanding of people he doesn't know."
Romana looked around as to where they were this time. She was trying to keep one step ahead of Rassilon or any of his guard that might want to drag her back home to face execution. The randomizer hopefully kept anyone from actually following her through the Vortex to where she actually was.
Romana pulled out her bag of Jelly Babies and offered one to the woman, "I am Romana, and you've met K9. So where am I exactly and what is the date? I am afraid I am a bit confused at the moment as to what the date is at this moment in time."

turn off your mind, relax and float downstreamlay down all thoughts, surrender to the voidthat you may see the meaning of withinthat ignorance and hate may mum the dead( - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ) A mechanical voice filtered through the air and Izzy instantly began to believe there were no robots aboard the ship at all. So, she looked down to find K9 staring up at her and a brow slowly perked. He was asking who she was? Wasn't he the intruder and didn't he already know who she was? Though, Izzy's thoughts were interrupted when Romana came into the picture, Izzy instantly relaxing and thinking, 'Thank god, someone who doesn't relay on faulty circuits to think.' But, her sigh of relief was soon replaced with even more confusion as Romana didn't even seem to know her what so ever. Watching the two bicker between each other, Izzy had to stifle a laugh as her left hand swiftly rose to her lips. Biting her lower lip, she shook her head slowly until their attention was back upon her, so her hand slowly dropped so that she could speak properly. "You two are still very amusing to watch. Anyways, the bigger problem right now is trying to figure out what all is damaged. So, you are on the Wisdom's Glory in the year five thousand and ninety-one. Clearly meeting me out of order, but that's not the point right now. And, this is not the time for candy, least not until we check on the life support and figure out if we actually have time to relax," she spoke, almost in a demandingly loving tone which showed that she missed Romana and also gave the huge hint that she had meet Romana before.
"Oh, and K9, can you do any sort of scan of the ship to find anyone out of the ordinary crew, clearly present company excluded. Because I fear I saw someone before the lights went out, and he may be behind all of this. At least, we can hope it is him cause then this will be easier," she ordered, "Well, we need to head to the engine room and check on everything. Hopefully all the back-ups are working properly, so you can feel free to follow or you could check on the crew. Believe most of them are in the rec roo," she paused a moment and shook her head, "Right, you don't know the layout, so just follow, I am sure they are doing alright. We can check up on them after the engine though because if the back-ups are not working then we have bigger problems than some bumps and bruises." Izzy may seemed not to care that much about the people, at least their current condition, but it was clear she wanted to help them in her special little way and that was tinkering with machines. In fact, she couldn't help but smirk as she looked at K9, remembering all those good times of trying to open that little pooch up only to get stunned away. Course, that never really stopped her from trying. Shaking her head, she focused back on the danger at hand and walked pass Romana and K9 as she headed towards the engine room to check up on everything, "So, what have you two just got done doing because clearly there is some timey wimey stuff going on here that actually explains a lot when I met you. I suppose it is my time to be the knowledgeable one, at least for you two. Though, time travel is way too fun just to give up, but I thought I'd live in my own time for a little while because people always need help, especially humans. Its rather interesting honestly. Save thousands and more than seventy-five percent of those thousands have been humans. I guess my kind just love getting into trouble," she laughed softly as she conversed with Romana and K9 on their way to the engine room.
It really didn't take long, since Wisdom's Glory was not a large ship, to reach the engine room. "Feel free to help look around, several pairs of eyes can help cut down time rather than just my own," she informed them as she took off her conical hat and set it aside, showing off her asymmetrical platinum hair that rested below. Before she got started though, she reached into her left sleeve, at which point Romana could see the vortex manipulator upon her wrist, and pulled out a pair of biker goggles and swiftly put those on, resting the goggles over her hazel eyes before she began to look around at the machinery in the spaceship. Eyes surveyed the damage of the main engine which clearly screamed sabotage to Izzy's trained eyes as she squinted a bit noticing some red fabric in the metal, but she waited to say anything until K9 and Romana were finished with their own evaluations of the engine room, since they may have caught something Izzy didn't.

Romana looked annoyed frankly, she didn't do well with people telling her or K9 what to do. This woman claimed to know her and K9 ad then issued forth orders and Romana coughed a bit, "Slow down..... you may claim to know me and K9 but that doesn't mean you get to tell my dog and me what to do. Just who are you?
The woman seemed to be laughing lightly and ignoring everything that Romana was stating and going straight on to the engine room. K9 went following after her and Romana went after K9, "K9....where are you going?"
"Mistress, the likelihood of the ship being sabotaged is about 97.99999% likely."
Romana muttered lightly, "That's not even that high. I think someone's imagination is running away with them."
K9 paused, "Mistress....define imagination."
"It means someone is basing something on an assumption. She claims she saw someone. For all she knows it could have been us."
K9 stated, "Negative mistress.... she was heading from the opposite direction when we came on her."
Romana sometimes wished she could turn K9 off, "Wonderful.....so for all we know we could be attacked by someone who doesn't like light. I could think of a few species that attack in darkness. The Vashta Nerada, for example." Romana shivered lightly. "Just for once.....I wish their was a dangerous species that attacked in broad daylight."
Romana sighed as they entered the engine room and she said, "K9 do a scan on all the crew of the ship. Link into the ship's main database and check and see if any of them have any known criminal backgrounds. Also do a thermal scan of all areas and see if their are any stowaways....well besides us of course, in any of the non-populated areas."
K9 began to connect to the main computer and began to run through information. Meanwhile Romana looked at the woman and looked at her thoughtfully. "I've never met you before in my life. But you seem to know a great deal about me and K9."
Romana eyes looked far away as if she was contemplating something and then she stated, "If you really know me as you claim, then surely I gave you or told you something to prove that you knew me. And showing me proof that you've traveled through the vortex doesn't count. You could be some rogue Time Agent, or someone hired by the CIA to capture me and return me to Rassilon."

turn off your mind, relax and float downstreamlay down all thoughts, surrender to the voidthat you may see the meaning of withinthat ignorance and hate may mum the dead( - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ) Certainly Izzy had forgotten her manners, but she still had a few social ticks that couldn't fully be fixed. Objectifying everything was just what Izzy did and ever since she began far more vocal, she found herself giving orders if she believed someone could actually help. Rarely did it occur to her that they didn't want to do the tasks or even would want to know her name. So, Romana's request for finding out who her new 'friend' was went ignored. Instead, Izzy just walked along and listened to Romana and K9 argue back and forth, both trying to show that there were good and bad points in following Izzy around. It was sort of amusing to listen to them again.
Finally in the engine room, Romana began her demands shortly after asking K9 to do a few tasks. Meanwhile Izzy stared at a part of the engine and a brow slowly rose before her attention shifted back to Romana. "Huh? Oh," she had forgotten about that little bit of proof, but honestly, Izzy couldn't think of anything besides the fact that Romana did something to her vortex manipulator. So, Izzy unstrapped it from her wrist and tossed it towards Romana, "You did something to that, not quite sure what since nothing looks different to me, but it hasn't worked ever since you fiddled with it. It has only been able to keep time and its not even the right time," she informed Romana, "And my name is Vitalia Isabel Lupo, but you can just call me Izzy, though you will be reliving this introduction later because of all the wonderful timey wimey crap we got ourselves into. I swear time travel is too much of a headache for me. Oh, and I also have my dairy, well, thought book, if you want to read that. It doesn't really talk about what happens, just my thoughts on the people I met and some other random thoughts. I think a part about you states how you are hot and that I would have loved to get into your head if you were a machine," Izzy coughed the last bit out before she diverted her attention.
With all of that said, she focused back on the engine, "For some reason, several of the circuits seemed fried, yet I cannot determine if it was because of a short or an overload since nothing else seems damage," she stated out loud, speaking to anyone that was listening which probably would have been K9 at the moment. "Beyond that, everything else looks like it should still be working and life support seems to be working, for now," she stated as she pried her goggles off her eyes and rested them upon her head as she looked over at Romana. "So, do I need more poor, Miss Romana or do I have to find my, 'I know a time lady,' t-shirt?"

Romana took a look at the vortex manipulator, she wasn't too impressed with it that was true. Humans shouldn't be time traveling as far as she was concerned at least not without someone that knew the nuances and complexities of it. There were far too many risks, Time Lords had an innate sense of time in the fact it was part of their biology, that and staring into the untempered schism made such things with Time Lords so much more complex than your average everyday Homo sapiens. She looked at the vortex manipulator and it started beeping at her. Romana frowned and scratched her head. As long as the woman had been wearing it, it hadn't done that before, at least so far.
Romana took out her sonic screwdriver and did a light scan with it, "Well no wonder it's not working. It's got something jammed in the mechanism and....."
She scanned some more, "It's temporally out of alignment, whatever is jammed in their."
Romana began to poke and fiddle with the vortex manipulator meanwhile the woman kept going on about her journal and thought book as well as introducing herself as Vitalia Isabel Lupo, or being preferred to be called Izzy. She mentioned her in a rather well slightly crude Homo-sapian fancy and Romana frowned a bit, "I am not sure whether to be honored or....insulted."
Romana smiled, "Izzy....." She then said, "Sounds more like the name for a thick stew or a drink. I think I'd rather call you Izzy Bell." Romana mused lightly out loud, "It's a bit more classic than just plain Izzy."
Romana listened to Izzy's diagnosis of the ship's damage. "Well....it's either sabotage or just an overloading of circuits. As soon as K9 is finished scanning, we should have him look for cellular residue. You know, skin cells or something organic. It's common everyday knowledge that most species shed something, be it fur, skin, or scales. Otherwise the whole of the universe of races would be burdened down by the weight of dead matter. If something organic is there, then that should answer that question whether it's simple ship blow out or someone or something acted upon the wiring and shorted it out."
Romana had just about finished working on the vortex manipulator when Izzy commented, "So, do I need more poor, Miss Romana or do I have to find my, 'I know a time lady,' t-shirt?"
Romana cracked open the vortex manipulator and found what was making it not work. A lock of blond yellow hair was found inside it, a scan of it with her sonic screwdriver matched her own genetic material and Romana paled slightly, "No....I don't think so. I think I left enough of my own self behind to prove that, and...."
Romana frowned again, "You've been with The Doctor, haven't you? I mean....that last sentence. It sounds like something he might say. His innate sort of rambling sort of rubs off on people that travel with him."

turn off your mind, relax and float downstreamlay down all thoughts, surrender to the voidthat you may see the meaning of withinthat ignorance and hate may mum the dead( - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ) The beeping from her vortex manipulator caused Izzy to stare at Romana, and Izzy mentally noted that it had never done that before. Well, it had beeped once when Romana fiddled with it all those years back. Shrugging it off, Izzy just let the moment slip through her fingers without a word spoken until Romana began to chime in about Izzy's 'new' nickname. Certainly it was new for Romana, but Izzy honestly knew it was coming, just didn't know when. "Sounds perfectly fine to me, especially since you've pretty much called me that ever since I met you, so I am accustomed to it," she laughed softly, "And you should just ignore what I said. I am a very odd woman that prefers the company of machines like K9 rather than people. Mostly cause machines are easier for me to understand. People are too complicated," Izzy admitted. There was no point in lying to Romana since Izzy felt like she knew her for thousands of years, which was a bit true.
Then the subject changed back to the ship and Izzy wrinkled her nose at the thought it was just overloading circuits. "It could have been, but I don't see anything that would have caused the overload since nothing here could honestly generate that much power on its own," she noted, "Though, I suppose K9 would be a better mechanic doctor than me," she stated without shame. There were times when she honestly would admit someone was better, but it was rare and only was happening now since she actually knew what K9 was capable of doing. Her eyes rested upon K9 who was hard at work and a small giggle pushed through Izzy's lips. K9 was still an adorable little mechanical pooch; Izzy was just sad she didn't have her own. Though, K9 was Romana's and Izzy wouldn't dare come between those two, even with Romana being a rather bossy woman as she gave K9 several orders and he happily complied.
When Romana spoke again, Izzy glanced over at Romana, and she saw more than what she expected to see. Apparently her vortex manipulator had a little golden hair within it and Izzy shook her head slowly. What an odd way to tell yourself about the fact that they knew each other, and it was very odd that Izzy actually didn't notice that hair when she examined it. Then again, maybe she had and just mentally ignored it? Either way, that hair was enough proof to show Romana that Izzy actually did know her. Then came up the topic of the Doctor and Izzy laughed before nodding, "Yeah, ran into him first. It was actually by complete accident cause of a time agent. Either way, I ended up in the same time as the Doctor and his lady friend. He briefly spoke about all the time stuff. Was very confusing for me, but eventually he took me back to my proper time only for me to run into that time agent again, and I stole his vortex manipulator," Izzy confessed with a sheepish smile, "Though, I have only used it a few times since I was like a caveman staring at new technology and just couldn't help myself." Izzy could never just let technology go ignored, maybe that was why Romana did what she did with it, making sure Izzy didn't break the time line since she was a very careless young woman when Romana ran into her again.

Romana shook her head at Izzy's liking machines, "Well I am not a machine. I am a Time Lady." She looked at the vortex manipulator debating whether or not to fix it or not of course since their meeting was really screwed up and she had no idea when or where they were going to meet, Romana sighed, "I probably should fix your Vortex Manipulator, considering the fact that we're meeting out of order and I have no idea when we will meet next, although it goes against my better judgment." Romana quietly fixed the machine taking out the blond hair and she smiled and handed it to Izzy, "Keep it....consider it a souvenir. And you probably wouldn't have known it was their anyway, it was temporally out of alignment."
Romana smiled softly at the mention of the Doctor, "The Doctor is....well....he's crazy, brilliant, and full of himself. But a good friend, even though occasionally we don't see eye to eye with each other."
K9 finished his scan, "Misstress.... scanners indicate an unknown person in the cargo hold."
Romana frowned, "Are you sure it's not a member of the crew?"
"Negative Mistress . But the crew is mostly gathered in their cabins or in the recreational facilities."
Romana nodded, "So what's the probability that it's someone that shouldn't be here?"
"89.9% chance mistress."
Romana scratched her head, "That's a big gap in probability, K9. Can you check the wiring....to see if it's been tampered with." K9 rolled over and began to scan, "Affirmative Mistress. the wiring has been tampered with."
Romana groaned, "Great just, great so we're on a ship with a known saboteur." She looked at Izzy, "So....you've been following this crew what exactly is their purpose." Romana frowned, "What exactly is important about this ship because as far as I am aware of, this ship is of no particular use or purpose, so why bother sabotaging it?"

It was a depressing truth that honestly didn't bother Izzy too much anymore. After all, humans, timelords, and other types of people were always going to run into her. There were very few machines to actually interact with, which was depressing. And her comment about being unaware if when they will meet again was very true. After all, only thing Izzy knew was that she met Romana in her past, but that was the future Ro, so maybe they could still meet Izzy's current future? It was hard to say. Shaking her head of the complicated topic, Iz moved on to the vortex manipulator as Romana explained what was wrong with. A soft chuckle pushed by Izzy's lips while she wondered how she could have ever missed such a simple thing. Either way, she took it back and nodded, "Yeah, time is a complicated mistress," she stated, referring to time as a woman. Why? She didn't know, it just felt right to her, "And I will try not to abuse its power," she added on to reassure Romana it was in good hands. Wrapping it back around her wrist, Iz covered it up with her sleeve once again, letting it be unknown to anyone just because she preferred it that way.
When the topic wandered to the Doctor, Izzy smirked and gave a firm nod at Romana's words. The Doctor did have a different kind of brilliance about him that just shimmered like a rare gem. It was highly unlikely there would be another time lord, or even human, out there like the Doctor. He was cut from a different kind of material that no one could really match up to. Though, Iz also only knew one Doctor, so she couldn't compare to the others, let alone even knew the others existed. A giggled pushed by her lips when Romana mentioned that she wasn't always on the same level as the Doctor, "Well, I suppose that happens in every good relationship, but that just means you have someone to challenge you, which is always a good thing to have. If you have a yes man, or woman, then what will you honestly learn or accomplish?" she queried. That is how Izzy saw life, at least ever since she went through it all. Her younger self was a bit less wise and a bit more stubborn on her views. Though, Romana would learn that on her own in due time.
When K9 began to speak, Izzy's eyes turned to the metal dog as it conversed with Romana and they seemed to do their little arguing thing again. A smile crossed Izzy's lips as she stayed quiet and just listened to them. The moment Romana's attention shifted back to Izzy, she thought for a moment and shrugged, "Honestly, this ship is just suppose to explore unknown regions of space and report back. Can't see a reason why someone wouldn't want it to do its job, but maybe there is some race trying to stay hidden or something. I couldn't tell ya for sure, unless there is something more to the story then what I know. The guy who hired me was quite fishy and actually isn't even on the ship, even though he claimed he was in charge of this expedition," she informed Romana of all the details that Izzy had on hand. The rest they would just have to figure out on their own, but that's what all good mysteries had, otherwise they wouldn't be a mystery.

Romana gave a sigh, "Time....among Gallifreyans, she was worship as a goddess, along with the other two gods, pain and death." Romana looked a bit quiet and sad. "It's tragic how all those elements that we attribute to gods contributed my home's demise." Romana felt a bit melancholic and she let said to Iz, "Just.....well....don't do anything foolish. When my people were at their zenith of their existence we kept the flow of time and the time line correct, with our home gone their are few to none to protect the integrity of Time itself and keep the lesser...." Romana bit her lip she wasn't meaning to be rude but she had to be honest, "The lesser species from being wiped out or destroyed." She looked at Izzy with a firm look, "Don't try and be a Time Lord and think you can save existence all the time and.....if you need help....you can always call me or someone that you know has dealt with such things."
As the conversation drew on about the Doctor, Romana stated, "We both changed or perhaps I stayed the same and he changed. Either way, when the Time War became a bit more heated we both had differences of opinion. Different ideas on tactics, different strategies." Romana sighed, "It doesn't really matter now. Gallifrey might as well be sand in an hour glass."
Romana contemplated Izzy's explanation about the ship, "This doesn't make sense. ....unless there's something on this ship that is more valuable than just the ship and the crew. It hasn't been the first time I've been on a ship that was more than what it seems. I've been on ships where some of the crew were smuggling illegal cargo, ships that had an unofficial mission that wasn't written on the log, ships that ended up having people that ended up ill with some strange unknown disease. Anyway theirs something more than meets the eye on this ship and we should find out. I think we should go to the cargo hold and see what's in the cargo besides a possible stowaway. Besides I am technically a stowaway as well. And if K9 and I can easily get on ship in the middle of space then, it's no problem for someone else to do the same.
Romana then smiled and stated, "I really should get to know more about you, after all you seem to know a good deal about me and I know absolutely nothing about you, except that I apparently met you at least in my own relative past and that you've got a Time Agent's vortex manipulator which I tinkered with in the past. After all....fair is only fair, you know a good deal about me , I should know some more about you." Romana grinned a bit, "So family.....do you have any brothers, sisters, or are you an only child?"

Romana had many years on Izzy, so Iz has made it a habit of actually taking any advice Ro gave. Though, when Ro started talking about the demise of her people with more detail, Izzy walked towards her slowly and let her smile fade as she nodded. However, when Romana paused when she was about to say lesser species, Izzy found a soft laugh pushing at her lips. She didn't know why, but that little statement always amused Izzy. Perhaps it was Izzy's bloated confidence that made her think she was much more than a lesser species, but Izzy also understood that Romana was no idiot either. In fact, that is part of the reason why Izzy actually enjoyed Romana's company since Ro always had something interesting to say and never wasted a word. Well, she didn't waste one often. Nudging Romana's shoulder, Izzy finally got a chance to speak, "Don't worry about me, Ro. You taught me well, though I fear I will still be the one trying to keep up with you," she jested with a smile.
When Romana began to talk about Gallifrey, Iz felt a desire to say something, but she held her tongue while she just nodded at Romana's words, "Yes, but nothing lasts forever," she stated, perhaps a bit of a spoiler, but Iz doubted Romana would catch onto the subtle hint. Either way, Izzy decided to leave that topic for another time since it wasn't something she should be discussing with Romana at this time. So, when Romana began to ramble about all of her theories, Izzy nodded slowly, her mind having already gone over those. 'Course, they went over them the moment she heard about this ship and its task. For some reason though, it all didn't add up in Izzy's mind. Especially with the fact they had five military people aboard out of the ten on the ship. It just seemed odd, though the man who set all this up claimed it was just for protection, yet Izzy also saw the military men's weapons, the ones they brought on board the ship. However, Izzy didn't remember seeing any extra cargo come aboard that wasn't on the shipping manifest. Though, Romana's idea was still a good one and something they would certainly have to do. After all, one of those items may be hiding something more since Izzy didn't really take the full time to check them all out. Actually, she didn't check any of them out besides looking at what was inside them.
Romana continued to speak and began to wonder about Izzy, which was no real surprise as she chuckled softly at it. Then that is when the question popped up about her family. Izzy practically froze in place as her smile quickly faded and she just stared at Romana, "Only child and that is all you will know about my family. That topic is a very touchy subject for me and if I was still the person you will eventually meet, I would have probably slapped you for asking such a question. So, I can only suggest leaving that topic to the dogs. Beyond that, I pretty much have lived on my own and never really called any one place home ever since...yeah," she sort of confessed. There were still parts of Izzy's past that she just didn't enjoy revisiting and her family life was one of the biggest ones she hated refreshing in her mind. "I love mysteries and have been solving them ever since I could remember, even helping people if there is a mystery involve, and no mystery is too small or too big for me. In fact, I once found some person's cat just because I ran into a flier that had a missing cat on it. So, you could say I sort of believe in fate and also have this thing with the mysteries that come to my feet. See, if they come to me then I feel like I must solve them or else something bad will happen. That little fact has been proved quite often for me, so I often don't want to test it by not solving a mystery," she informed Romana as she started walking out of the engine room and began the trip to the cargo bay, "Oh, and I am a very confident young woman. So, even though I will take your advice for asking for help, I may not do it as soon as I probably should," she chuckled softly, "So, when I ask for your help, you should probably expect to show up in a large mess."

"I don't know if I have taught you well. You're making statements that I can't back up very well. And trying to reassure me doesn't help, even though I have proof that I've met you, well....for me I've haven't taught you anything as of yet. I am not even sure what I've taught you." Romana blew a frustrated blow of air, as if she was letting off a bit of steam."Try looking at this from my point of view. But I suppose you will sometime in my relative future. I am guessing when I next meet you, either I don't let on that I know you, or I act like I know you and you'll be all unsure and be confused all over the place. "
Romana sighed and shook her head, "Gallifrey....the stuff of legends I suppose. Even those who have never been their imagine what it looked like and had high expectations."
Romana looked rather disappointed by not knowing much about Izzy's past. Course that in mind Romana didn't go too much into her family history as well. Just that like most Gallifreyans she had lots of siblings, parents that expected a lot out of her and well for all Romana knew they either died in the Time War or died on Gallifrey. Gallifreyan families were complex, and Romana really didn't want to go into the complexities of having grow up spending most of her days studying and working hard. It had been a lot of stress on her as a young Time Tot. But at least Gallifreyan minds were made for it but Romana had never thought too much on her childhood and it became painfully obvious that she never really had a childhood. Most Gallifreyan children got to play in the nursery but Romana had never had a chance to 'play" at all, she never had any real friends as a child as all her days since her looming were spent in an attempt to be the best at the Time Lord Academy. She supposed it worked since she did graduate as one of the youngest Time Lords ever with a Triple First. But their had been no fun, not much fun at all.
Romana nodded, "I understand. Frankly I don't talk too much about my family life either. Really not too much anyway. I never saw my parents all that much, they were too busy thinking about my future, and not too much about my present. My childhood sort of got overlooked." Romana smiled softly, "But I guess I am making up for it, after all, my time with the Doctor...." She sighed, "He helped me learn to have a bit more fun in my life and to enjoy things a bit more. Anyway...if you want to talk to a dog about your childhood, there's always K9. Besides....just tell him to forget about it all, and he'll deleat it."
Romana listened to Iz's concept of enjoying in solving a puzzle, "You sound like the Doctor, he has this fascination of solving things and unraveling things just to get to the heart of the matter. When I first started traveling with him, it annoyed me to no end. But I sort of got addicted to it after awhile. "
"That makes two of us....." Romana added when Izzy mentioned about being a very confidant woman, "And I am probably the first not to admit it but I've made some mistakes as well. But that's what friends are generally for, to help you get out of them."
They began to enter the cargo room and Romana said to K9, "K9 could you provide some illumination for us please."
K9 ended up tuning on a flashlight on his nose and Romana smiled, "K9 has never really been mine to begin with....he sort of ended up being given to me from the Doctor."
