Want to join this roleplay but unsure of what species to join as? There are lots of options and these are only a few of the ones from Doctor Who. The names are links to a page with more information on the species just in case one catches your interest. This is also a good guide for if a species is mentioned that you cannot for the life of you remember the significance of.

Timelord/Gallifreyan - Time lords look human, but have much more knowledge than humans. They can regenerate when close to death. Oh, and they can travel in time and space.

Human - Oh, you know what a human is.
Dalek - Daleks are the worst enemy of The Doctor. They resemble R2D2 and their catchphrase is "Exterminate!"
Cybermen - Cybermen are right up there with the Daleks. They resemble C3PO and insist that "You will be upgraded."
CatKind - Catkind are easy to describe. They're a human that looks like a cat... or a giant cat that looks like a human, whichever floats your boat.
Crespallions - Crespallions = submissive, blue humans. Men are the size of an average human and women are about the same height as a human child. Awesome, right?
Family of Blood - The Family of Blood are actually gaseous creatures, but they take over human bodies and their sole goal is to devour Time Lords.
Forest of Cheem - The Forest of Cheem are tree people. People that look like trees. That is all.
Futurekind - Futurekind are the scary future humans with sharp teeth, no manners, and cannibalistic tendencies.
Gangers - Gangers are clones. They look and act like the original humans and have the same feelings.
Hath - The Hath have human bodies and fish faces. They don't talk much.
Judoon - Judoon are the intergalactic policemen. When they're after someone, no one else matters. Oh, and they look like talking Rhinos.
Malmooth - Malmooth are bug people who act very kind and curteous toward others.
Ood - The Ood are a servant race. They live to cater to others and feel they have no purpose if they cannot.
Plasmavore - Plasmavore take over human bodies and suck people's blood through a straw... aka they're the adolescent versions of vampires.
Racnoss - Racnoss are what you get when you mix human and spider. Everyone's worst nightmare, right?
Slitheen - Slitheen wear human skin as a costume, pass gas constantly, and try to make money by selling anything they can get their hands on.
Silence - The Silence are the closest thing to what we consider a 'typical' alien, but as soon as you aren't looking at them, you can't remember anything about them.
Sontaran - Sontaran are made for war. They are top notch soldiers that look like potatoes in armor and their only weakness is a spot on the back of their neck. Simple enough but they turn their back on no one.
Sycorax - Sycorax are a race of honor and pride. They have skull helmets built in to impress enemies and some wear belts made of Judoon skin. In other words, don't mess with them.
'Vampire' - Vampires are exactly what they sound like, only their human form is just pretend. They're really aliens. Bet you didn't know that, Bella.
Vinvocci - Vinvocci are people that look like cacti.
Zocci - Zocci are midgets that look like cacti that have been dyed red.
