2012 April 11th: Lost (Rose)

John sat the control room of Stargate Command the scientists were working on some sort of improvements to it, John never really asked them much about it all he found out from the briefing earlier that they were trying to get back to the Pegasus Galaxy without the use of a high power source such as a zero point module though John would have thought it was impossible but that was the word that he had stopped using when he joined the Stargate program all those years ago. John had volunteered to step through to the other galaxy they had set up a temporally alpha site just for this test run.

John sat back on his seat as he looked around the room, he was glad when the scientists had announced that they had finished the upgrades and thus John stood and made his way to the gate room. John heard the familiar sound of the Stargate as it began to spin and the chevrons lit up and locked into place. Then the whoosh sounds was heard when the wormhole appeared, by this time John was now walking up the ramp and he stepped through the Stargate not knowing at that very time the earth gate was experiencing some problems.

John was launched out of the other side and he hit a wall. Gaining his senses again he looked around the place, this was strange the alpha site wasn’t in a building nothing but tents should be here and plus it should be morning not pitch black. “Hello? Anyone here?” John shouted out. John watched as the Stargate deactivated and now his source of light wasn’t there anymore. John grabbed his radio. “This is Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard anyone out there over.” John looked around once more and wondered just where he was.

Rose was in the office working at Stargate command working on a report for an incedent that had happened two day ago. The rest of Stargate command was quiet most of the normal occupants were getting ready for the Goveners masked ball, of already on their way there. Stargate command that was located inside Torchwood was only able to be the ghost town it was due to a scientific experiment gone wrong in the upper labs. The entire Torchwood buliding had been shifted to the the left and back leaving a wall too close to the gate. Suprisingly enough the power, lights and computer had still worked, but with the wall too close to the gate all travel to Torchwood's stargate had been limited to emergancy use only. The Danger of somone accidently fusing with the wall was too great. So Rose was alone in the depths of the building that had most of the lights off expcept the ones she was using. With the report done Rose stood to print and file a copy of the report away, when she heard the now familar clicks of the cheverons clicking into place. She was about to be joined by somone dialing in, somone unathorized.

Rose went to the the intercom and hit a button "Med unit on stand by I repeat Med unit on stand by" She said into the intercom firmly before all the chevrons had slipped into place. Then she hit the buttons to the office coms where she thought mebers of staff might still be in the building having not left for the ball or home quiet yet. "This is Tyler I reapeat this is Tyler code Defender I need back up in the Stargate base unathorized entry unknown enity engaging from the command unit over" She grabbed a lab coat that had been left in the office by one of the doctors and slid it on over her costume for the goveners ball. She began buttoning up the coat as she searched for the switch that would turn on the lights in the gate room as well as find the intercom needed and the switch that would lift the blast doors on the control room.

Luckily she found all three switches and flipped them on all at the same time, just as she finished buttoning up the jackt. Rose winced as she realized that she had just flooded the once pitch black room with light knowing whoever was in there might not be to happy about being blinded, but she couldn't help it. Rose hit the intercom just as she was about to speak to whoever was down in the Gate Room she heard a buzz indicating somone from Torchwood comand wanted to speak with her besides the blast doors were still opening so she really couldn't see who was down there. Rose hit the com button and smiled when she heard Pete's voice. She absently nodded as he told her that her mother was going to go nucular on her and laughed at the truth behind that statment. Her attention went to the window of command as it finished sliding up revealing a man, but her attention snapped back to the com a second latter as Pete told her of the readings he had just recived. Somone had come through from another reality and that somone was standing down below. Not only another reality but the reality that she had come from origanily.

Rose's heart skipped a beat, and suddenly she was torn run down there and find out everything she possibly could or follow proticall and stay where she was. Deciding quickly that one parent ready to throtle her was bad enough, and wanting to stay on the case instead of being taken off for not following prcedure, Rose went to the com and pressed the button " You have entered a restricted zone you are unathorized to be here. Stay were you are security is on it's way. State your name and who sent you." Rose said sternly in an authorative voice trying to hold back a smile that wanted to spread across her face. The man down below might have answers to all the questions she had.
