i took a walk around the world to ease my troubled mindi left my body lying somewhere in the sands of timei watched the world float to the dark side of the moonand i feel like there is nothing i can do( - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ) Once again, her tardis dragged her through the vortex, shaking heavily since it was a tad bit under the weather. Envi wasn't fully sure what was going on, but she knew her tardis was not at a hundred percent and it had been randomly teleporting her around any time she entered. This time around it was not a pretty sight as it twisted and hurled itself through the vortex. Luckily, the landing was relatively smooth and once it happened, Envi was stuck staring at the broken television in her tardis. It was made by a fox and she happily shot it, but she had repaired it in a manner that allowed her to see what was outside without actually leaving. Seeing the exotic city of Constantinople, Envi bounced with joy and rushed to her dresser to put on some appropriate clothing. Tossing her current wears aside, she slipped into a light skirt and had a dark brown rope wrap around her waist while the beige skirt fluttered about just below her knees. There was black lace upon the bottom of the skirt in order to give it a more exciting look and in the proper light, one could see the shape of Envi's legs beneath the skirt. She also put on a little bikini, but nothing like the present day knew them as. Instead, it was mostly two pieces of cloth covering her breasts while metal held everything in place and there was also a white band that wrapped around her body, just below her breasts that held the black fabric in place. This outfit showed off the tattoos upon her stomach, her chest, left arm, and upon her feet, but she didn't care about that. People would just claim her as a gypsy and she continued to go with that look as she adorned some random jewelry onto her body. A long chain necklace dangled from her neck, the sapphire stone resting just above her belly button and rested upon her white skin. She also put on several bracelets that jingled when she moved. Heck, she also put them on her ankles! There was also a chain that hung from the rope, and hanging from the chain was a small bag that held her screwdriver. She figured using a gun here would be a very foolish idea, so she wouldn't bring it with her. Instead, she stashed a dagger upon the white band around her body. How? She put it in a unique cloth sheath that hung from the band and since the dagger was quite a fancy one, one would assume it was decoration and not a weapon. After all, it was a small little thing with no indication of a handle since it blended easily with the sheath while an emerald glittered at the end, and that gem rested just above her skirt when she stood up straight. Putting on the finishing touches, Envi bounced out of her tardis, quickly realizing it took the disguise of a wagon full of manure. Her nose curled, but she quickly ignored it as she ran away from her tardis so she could explore the wonders of a new world!
With her bare feet padding along the dirt path, Envi quickly noticed that not many people were actually staring at her like she thought they would. Instead, they seemed distracted by other issues. A voice soon came into the air though, and she whipped her head around quickly, letting her red locks snap against her face, 'Don't you remember your history, dear. This is Constantinople a mere day before the start of its fall. If we stay too long, we may be apart of the war and maybe the casualties it will bring,' her wiser self informed her. Sneering at him, she shook her head, "No, no. Our home would never bring us to someplace to die. It loves us too much to do such a foolish thing. We are clearly here for something important, or maybe just to enjoy this wonderful city before its fall," she spoke to herself. At this point, a few people actually took the time to stare at her and wonder who she was actually talking to. He spoke again, but Envi ignored his warning as she turned her attention to the bazaar and all the shops it held. "Oo! They have jewelry!" she exclaimed and bounced off while her ghost simply rolled his eyes in annoyance.
Approaching a nearby stand, the owner noticed Envi and quickly snapped a stick at her, "Away with you, gypsy woman, unless you have coin to trade, for I will not tolerate any thieves," he ordered in a stern voice. Staring at him, she tilted her head and giggled, "We're a gypsy! Oo, coin, you people still use that hard gold rock, don't you? You silly humans, Trix are for kids," she rambled and the shopkeeper rose a brow at her insanity. "I...no sell to you. You have some very odd demons in you, gypsy, so...be gone," he stated hesitantly as he motioned her away with his hands. "Okay! Have a good death!" she exclaimed before bouncing away from the man. Envi could smell all of the wonders the city held and ignored the fact that it may soon all be gone. Her ghost continued to warn her about something, but she was tuning him out as she bounced around, staring at all the goods the stalls had in store for her. Yet, it seemed like not many people were actually out and about. And those that were, seemed rather nervous about something. Envi could not figure out what since she believed they didn't know about the pending attack, only she knew that, right? Her mind was far too baffled to know what she actually knew, especially since she was ignoring her smarter side.

His directional circuit must be on the fritz again. Damn. He'd been so sure he'd fixed it. But as the Monk surveyed the city that lay beyond his TARDIS' doors, it occurred to him that this time was just as ripe for his brand of interference as the period he'd been aiming for (some three centuries earlier in Crusader-held Palestine). Here though he had arrived just days before the Ottomans invaded; this was one instance of history he didn't want to change. He could still stick around to watch the show. It was sure to be spectacular. He could even pick up a souvenir or two, start rebuilding the collection those wretched Daleks had destroyed. Yes, he decided, the directional circuit could wait. The Monk exited what looked like a marble column and patted his ship approvingly. It had chosen an form just distinctive enough he could find her again but not so distinctive as to excite comment or— horrors!— get her stolen. Glancing around at the busy streets packed full of oblivious people, he couldn't help feeling a little twinge. This time tomorrow, these streets would be awash in blood... but he couldn't prevent it. If not the Turks, then someone else. The last sad tatters of the Roman empire had been destined for the rag heap of history for a long time now, it had just been a question of when. But of course none of these people had any idea what was coming. It was precisely this foreknowledge that had led Time Lords like himself and the Doctor to do what they could to help. The Time Lords on Gallifrey saw everything from their glass house, but what good was their knowledge, their precious Matrix, unless it was acted upon? In this case though the Monk would be merely an observer, a temporal tourist of sorts. Those ninnies on the High Council would be so proud, he thought bitterly. Then his gaze was drawn to a young woman who seemed to be causing quite a stir. At first she seemed to be just garden-variety crazy, but the Monk distinctly heard the phrase "silly humans." Instantly he was intrigued. It could mean nothing, the less-than-real ramblings of a madwoman, but he was curious now. Besides, it simply wouldn't do for an alien presence to interfere with tomorrow's invasion. He might even— the thought nearly made him giggle— have to play the Doctor for a day, preserve the Web of Time. He was getting older, after all, and realized he couldn't always make everything better. The Monk trailed along behind her as she gamboled aimlessly about. Finally an opportunity fell into his lap when one of her bangles clattered to the street without her noticing. He snatched it up, then rushed forward to tap her shoulder. "Excuse me, miss, but you dropped this," he said, holding it out in front of him. w o r d s four eighty-five t a g envi n o t e s sorry it's so late. c r e d i t graphics etc. by leviafan; lyrics by august burns red

Blinking a bit as she stared at the Monk, she giggled and raised her hands to press her fingers on his cheeks and moved them about, an attempt to stretch out his skin and make it look funny, all under the assumption her hands were not batted away right away, and if so, she would also comment, "You look soo old for a youngin." Either way, she would giggled at him as her hands came back to her side, for only a moment. Noticing one of her bangles in his hand, she snatched it away and put it back in its proper place, "Why thank you kind monkey. Might we query where you came from. You smell funny compared to the surrounding peasants. Oh! Are you a space traveler here to attempt to woe us with your words and beautiful harp playing?" she queried him while her voice went from a girlish giggle to an excited squeal. The tattoos upon her body (chest, stomach, feet and left arm) clearly wasn't done in this time, at least this is what a perceptive man would easily catch. As for Envi, her better half kept yammering in her ear, talking about the man's attire and noted that he was something far more than a human, course she wasn't paying attention to her normal time lord senses like her better half clearly was. Instead, Envi was acting more like a child who was meeting a cute boy for the first time, but clearly not the shy girl.
"So, space monkey, what sort of shenanigans are you up to? We are here to explore the wonders that were. It is quite an exciting trip, don't you agree? We just hope nothing wrong happens. Fixing things is such a pain. The last thing we fixed caused us to break a nail! Well, the nail wasn't the big part, it was our poor lover. She was hurt worse than the nail. But we fixed her, at least we think we did," she continued to ramble, but her thoughts began to wander off as she thought about her tardis. 'Course, anyone attempting to read Envi's thoughts would find them to be rather wild and may get a bit of a headache from listening since she certainly can't focus on one thing in there. Honestly, she had to be noticing a thousand things around her and thinking about them. Such as the scarf resting upon the nearby stand, she thought it would look absolutely beautiful wrapped around the 'space monkey's' neck since it would compliment his eyes. Than there was also the thoughts of her tardis and what she did to fix it recently, which was her using the wrapper of a candy bar to meld some wires together. Certainly not something a normal Time Lord would probably do, but she thought it would work perfectly! Though, lately she has been catching a whiff of burnt Snickers...
