<------Continuing thread from. Letting go of the door, The Doctor sashayed up the ramp towards the console, doing a little spin at the top before he flopped down into the chair by the ramp, crossing his legs and waiting for Jack to catch up. "You got my message then?" he asked seriously, but not looking very serious at all, it was kind of hard, with this face. He stood up and circled the Captain, eyeing him up and then smirking. "Is that a gray hair I see? Other than that, you've not changed a bit, unnatural and still as handsome as ever..."
Oh, ever the flirt.

Though he didn't much mind the rain (it was only a bit of a drizzle), Jack was quick to follow The Doctor into the TARDIS, closing the door behind him so that no one could follow them. He shrugged his jacket off and shook the rain from his hair, setting the jacket aside to dry before making his way further inside, leaning against the railing around the console when he'd made it up there. "Even the TARDIS looks different," he noted. "I didn't know it could do that."
He moved away from the railing, going over to the consoles to run his fingers over them, memories flashing through his head of Rose and the previous regenerations of The Doctor. Those were good times, but he couldn't help but feel a little sad and was glad for the distractions when The Doctor started to speak again.
"Excuse me, I don't get grey hairs," he argued stubbornly, folding his arms across his chest, but there was a smile playing at his lips from the compliment and he moved to one of the chairs to sit down, making himself comfortable before his attention was on The Doctor again. "I didn't get any message," he said with a shake of his head. "About a week ago I went to that carnival planet with the team, just for a bit of a break, and met this beautiful fortune teller that clued me in. I wasn't looking for a fortune, but who could resist a pretty one like that? She was blond. Long, blond hair all the way down her back and the biggest green eyes. I'm glad I went. It's been too long, Doctor. Now why would you send me a message after all this time? Surely not just for a chat? I wasn't aware you sought people out just to catch up," he said, lifting an eyebrow.

"Yes, yes she was stunning, those eyes really drew you in, reminded me a little of Rose, actually," he mused before clapping his hands together and meeting Jack's eyes. He looked serious for a moment before rubbing a hand over his face and sounding frustrated as he faced the console. "I've had some very curious readings lately, not at all usual in the least. Very complicated and confusing actually... They don't make any sense at all..." He trailed off as he scratched his head, reading the data on the screen.
"It's all completely batty, becaus-"
He was about to tell him about the readings the Tardis had printed off when all of a sudden the Tardis gave an almighty jolt and both Jack and The Doctor were thrown to the grate flooring, holding for their lives as the Tardis started flying itself and propelling out of control through an unstabilized time vortex. This couldn't be happening, no! The Doctor scrambled to his feet and crabbed onto the console. "We're spinning out of control," The Doctor shouted over the noise of the Tardis, moving around the console, bouncing off his bits and bobs. "I need you to to decrease the artron packet output-" He moved between jack and the console, doing it instead, speeding them up so they didn't bounce off the sides of the vortex too much.
"Come on Jack stop starring and come hold this, it'll activate the flight stabilizers, but you need to hold it for me so I can do this..."

"Readings? Readings about what?" Jack asked, circling around to get a better look at the screen. Most of it was gibberish to him because he didn't do most of the computer work for Torchwood. Though, even if it was a forte of his, he wasn't sure he'd understand. Especially not if The Doctor himself couldn't make sense of it.
He looked up as the man started to speak again, curious to hear what he did know and eager to do all he could to help. He was sure the team wouldn't mind helping out either, though they'd be more curious that Jack would prefer them to be. There wasn't much time for explanation, though, as the TARDIS took off, The Doctor calling out instructions as he tried to put things in order, though nothing seemed to be helping a whole lot.
Oh, well wouldn't this be fun! Sure, Jack had a spaceship of his own, but it was nothing like the TARDIS. Way less exciting. He went over to where he'd been instructed and held the lever down, his wide grin most definitely out of place as the TARDIS jolted, nearly sending him to his ass. His heart was pounding in his chest and he wanted to ask what was happening, but The Doctor seemed to know just as much-or rather, as little-as he did.
Been a while since we did this, Doctor!" he said instead, his memory of helping fly the TARDIS coming back to him a little and he pressed a button barely within arm's reach, stabilizing things just a tad more. "Seems we need more hands, though. I'm surprised to find you without a companion. Not taking applications, are you?" he joked.

"Jack, calm down," The Doctor said loudly, holding up a hand and then looking panicked himself because Jack hadn't even been panicking. "Everything's going to be alright." In fact he was smiling, oh so was he. Smiling wider he just held on for dear life before everything went silent. The Doctor pulled down the scanner and started to speak, his voice slower all of a sudden.
"Tiiiiime iiiiis slooooowingggg doooownnnn," Then all of sudden it was faster and he was tipping forwards, feeling slightly queasy to the stomach as the TARDIS flipped and spun, the time once again slowing. He was really afraid his 'sexy[ would break up, it hadn't happened before, obviously, but it could happen. "Thissss shooouuuldn'ttt beeee haaaappeeeeninggg!"
The Doctor held on and then all of sudden it was quiet and everything was normal, as if they were flying in clear space. They were in a spaceship, after all. Pulling down the scanner, the space around them dark and new. He frowned and went over to the readings. "This can't be possible," he blurted, grabbing at his hair. "It says we're at the end of time... no, that we're IN the end of time, how is that possible, there's nothing there-" He flicked the screens on and all of a sudden his eyes were widening in disbelief. "No--"
"This is a joke, it's got to be a joke," he sounded a little hysterical now. He pointed at the screen and then his hands pressed against his cheeks and he blew out making a raspberry sound. "Lies!" he scowled and pushed it away, angry all of a sudden. "That's not real, it can't be, i won't accept it!" he yelled and started to walk towards the kitchen. He disappeared through the door only to come running back looking excited.
"Oh she wouldn't, so that's got to be real," He grabbed the screen and stared, really stared at the planet floating right in front of them- plain as day and so, so beautiful. "I thought it was lost..." he breathed, awe struck.

There were things that got Captain Jack Harkness scared, though it didn't happen very often. Being in the end of time definitely qualified, though they seemed perfectly fine for the time being. But that didn't mean anything. Being with The Doctor was both the safest and most dangerous place to be at the same time. You're in very good hands, no doubt about that, but with so many enemies and a spaceship with a mind of it's own (literally), there's never any telling what sort of trouble you'll find yourself in.
Loosening his grip on the consoles, Jack went over to look at the screen. Whatever it was, it was definitely affecting The Doctor more than anything he'd ever seen. To Jack, though, it simply looked like a planet. Nothing that should be making The Doctor so... in awe.
"What is it, Doctor?" he questioned. "Are we going there?"
The Universe was a big place, much bigger than anyone could fathom. Even The Doctor. He could only know what he'd seen. And it sounded to Jack as though he'd only heard of it. He was making it sound like some big myth. Gallifrey. That was the first thing to cross his mind, but that was impossible. Gallifrey was in a Time Lock and after working for the Time Agency, Jack knew that those things were impossible to escape. So it must have just been a planet that no one believed existed because no one could ever find it. They'd been on quite a journey, after all, so that wouldn't be hard to believe. Whatever it was, Jack could feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins. He wanted to see what was on that planet.
