Cypher had slipped on her usual clothes: a pair of jeans, a long sleeve tee, a pair of pink high-tops, and her favorite zip up sweater. Supposably according to the records and she had double and triple checked it, it was the year 199,909, the Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire. Supposably at this time there was something big going on at Satellite Five, she could feel it and it was light, but it felt familiar in some way. Cypher pushed such thoughts away as she focused on other things. She needed to focus on the here and now, though here and now was relative wasn't it? Cypher was still learning everything she could in regards to what she was. There was just so much to learn in regards to Gallifrey and the Time Lords, she wasn't entirely certain she'd learn everything that was possible. She had managed to learn the Gallifreyan language which seemed purely telepathic in nature. She really needed a teacher for that.
Cypher had dug out a few things that she thought might need. Nothing too horrible. After meeting the Tenth Doctor she had made the decision that she needed a sonic screwdriver, it was too useful to not get. However, the one she had gotten was a bit more archaic looking than the one that the Doctor had. She wasn't a hundred percent this would work perfectly. However, supposably it would help her in repairs of Bea who honestly needed much maintenance. She intended to wander around the planet and see the sights, no idea of the kind of war zone she was about to walk into. Cypher was hoping to see a bountiful Earth, a great empire that was unified by their beliefs. As Cypher stepped out of her telephone box, what she saw was quite the opposite.
Cypher found herself in a storage and let out a breath, well wasn't this... Swell. She managed to make it past the various piles of junk when she made it to the exit and the first thing she noticed, the city itself seemed quite dead. No one was out and about. Well, wasn't this swell? She gripped her sonic screwdriver as she walked through the street until she came to a corner were she noticed two people talking. "Excuse me!" She called to the two of them. Cypher felt very out of place.

tell me something, something that can move medon't tell me lies, i swear you're gonna lose mebig like an ocean, jealous of the fish it feedsyour devotion swimming inside of me( - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ) Time travel was possible and she had that point proved to her by a random time agent. It was hard to understand all of the concept, but she eventually understood enough and actually got home in a much nicer manner. The first time she time traveled and she had to go puking all over the place. She would feel embarrassed about the incident, if she cared enough to think about it. All she cared about was being home, sort of. Being back on New Venus in the right time zone showed her that she really didn't have a place to call home. She was a homeless and might as well have been an orphan rummaging through the garbage! The thought disturbed Izzy as she sat down outside the club that had started all of this. Resting her head against the wall, she gave a heavy sigh and then she saw him, the man that started it all!
Bouncing to her feet, Izzy gave chase which ended rather swiftly since the man did not see her coming. Tackling him to the ground, with surprise on her side, Izzy pinned him down and her eyes instantly shot to his wrist. He screamed and shouted beneath her, but Izzy was quickly off him right after she snatched his vortex manipulator off of his wrist. Running away, she could hear his footsteps following her, so she ducked into an alleyway and stared at the device before her. Curious, she pushed several buttons and then the thing began to beep at her. A scream filled the air and as Izzy looked up at the man at the front of the alleyway, she began to undergo a familiar feeling. Her body shifted and sped through what she believed to be time and space, remembering what the Doctor had said just the other day. 'Course, this time Izzy feared she would not pop up in a place where the Doctor would be around to help her get home.
When a new world came to her, she found herself in yet another alleyway, but it was clearly different since the walls were made of bricks that looked like they were barely holding up the wall. Though, her attention was more so on the sickening feeling of her stomach as it lurked within her stomach. Clinging to the vortex manipulator, Izzy began to make her way out of the alleyway since she heard a faint voice call out. The world was quickly beginning to spin around her and Izzy would swear she was drunk if she hadn't had a drop to actually drink. Stumbling out of the alleyway, Izzy's body collided with another, and Izzy clung onto this body like it was her last resort. The body moved backwards and Izzy's feet could not move forward at the time, which left Izzy slipping to the ground. It didn't take long before she was laying there upon the ground, her green skirt, beige blouse, platinum blond hair, and boots all laying flat upon the ground of a foreign land. Izzy's eyes stared up at the blue sky and she felt serenity come over her for a moment before something came up. Swiftly, Izzy rolled to her side and propped herself up with her left arm as she puked, again.
Unable to look at it, she rolled away from the puke and just laid there upon the ground before her hazel eyes stared up at Cypher. A nervous smile crossed her lips for a moment until Izzy's hands came up and pulled down her goggles, as if trying to hide from what just happened. This was also the time she realized she was still clutching to that vortex manipulator. With no place to really put it, Izzy rolled up her right sleeve and clasped it tightly to her forearm before covering it up with her sleeve and slowly getting back to her feet. Still woozy from the stumble and the travel, Izzy's attempt to get up was quite wobbly and she feared she was on the verge of actually falling over, but Izzy was far too prideful to ask for help as she began to fall forward...

Skirt and hair just so, and top a little too short, and heels a little too high, and make-up Mum would have a kitten, no a litter of kittens, if she ever saw, and Jaya really shouldn’t be here. Really, really shouldn’t. She should be at home, studying for her exams, not out … out ruining her life. Yeah, that’s what her parents would say, but damn it all, shouldn’t she be allowed to have a little fun once in a while, too?
Her mates went out clubbing every weekend, come hell, high water, or finals, and every weekend she was left behind. And it sucked. Just like having overprotective parents sucked. Just like having a genius brother sucked. Just like being her sucked, apparently.
Well she was going to have some fun, too. She would find Livi and Emma and Hanna, and they would go to the East Village and it would be brilliant. It had to be. She’d put too much time and energy into getting dressed-and getting out-for it to be anything less.
And it’s not like she was dumb, right? She’d been working through that pre-calc book every night for a whole year, a few hours more wouldn’t be the end of the world. Or the ticket to Cambridge or Oxford or whatever Mum and Dad were cooking up now.
Jaya stood on her toes, not just because the heels on her shoes made her wobbly-and that’s just what she gets for borrowing Emma’s shoes-but for the added benefit of peering around for her best friend’s very flamboyant blonde and black hair. And promptly got the wind knocked out of her.
Blonde and sort of steampunk and very very drunk by the looks of it. Already. And maybe this was a bad idea, except Blonde and Steampunk (sort of) looked more sick than drunk to Jaya’s not at all knowing eye and what if she needed help?
Her parents wanted her to be a doctor, even if she’d rather not, and it would be a pretty crappy start to that career, leaving someone in need of help to puke their brains out on the pavement. Or maybe it was the brown and green. She’d always been partial to brown and green.
Jaya wobbled after, vowing to throw these shoes in the nearest rubbish bin, even if they were her best friend’s.
“Hey. Are you alright?”
She wasn’t sure who she was asking, Blonde and Steampunk or Ginger and Young, but she wasn’t sure it mattered either. Unless both really weren’t alright, because she only had two hands, and no idea of what one high school student with a Red Cross card could do in a real emergency. At least she had her mobile! Post by The Daleks on Jul 30, 2011 5:56:34 GMT -5
Scanning of Earth's landmasses for unprecedented lifeforms was by now routine. In the years that the Daleks had been manipulating Earth's population from behind the scenes, they had managed to cut the planet and its occupying humans off from the rest of their species elsewhere in the universe and prevent the establishment of other alien species. The planet and its associated moons and Satellite were theirs now, and the Emperor had decreed that only human cells would suffice for the manipulation and cultivation that was expanding their Empire.
Even after this many years ruling the planet, after thousands upon thousands of regular scans, the Daleks were still as efficient as ever. They never let down their guard - so when the scanners registered the presence of an extra-terrestrial lifeform far below, they were prepared. According to the data, the lifeform was accompanied by two humans, which would have to be disposed of. It wasn't humans that wandered about after dark who posed a problem - the inferior species was so prone to erratic behaviour that murder and fighting among them was considered irrelevant, and statistics showed that whenever the Satellite broadcast that the atmosphere was breathable and humans emerged, this was a likely outcome. Nor was it the fact that the humans were associating with an extra-terrestrial lifeform. It was what it could lead to that was of concern - it was the humans who questioned that were the problem. Methodical culling, either by selecting and transmatting them to the Satellite or the controlled release of engineered viruses, had seen to the problem for the most part.
It was the word of the Emperor that His great design was nearing fruition, and there could be no flaws in His plan. The lifeform and the associating humans would have to be eliminated without delay. Within just a few rels, five Daleks had calibrated their personal teleports to the location given by the scanner and transported themselves to the surface of the planet, spread evenly spaced in a circle of a few hundred metres radius around the lifeform in preparation to close in.

Cypher wasn't exactly sure what had happened when it had. All she knew was that someone had collided with her and had landed on the ground, and it was her strong senses she had discovered that she nearly puked herself at the smell of vomit. The smell was entirely too strong for her. Cypher had found she had a strong sense of smell and taste, it was why she had begun to enjoy finding places where she could get to taste new foods. She may or may not be obsessed with vanilla flavored foods. It has become one of her favorite foods. "Are you alright? Are you sick?" The red haired Time Tot asked.
"Let's get you away from that," she offered as the girl seemed to fall and Cypher managed catch her. This girl looked like she had just gone through a Regeneration, but it was impossible. The girl didn't feel like a Time Lord to her. For some reason, her senses seemed to be able to find Time Lords, the girl didn't feel like those on Gallifrey.
Cypher turned towards the dark haired woman who was wearing... not a great deal. "I'm not sure, we need to get her somewhere she can lay down. You don't have any ginger on you do you?" Cypher asked curiously. "It's supposed to help upset stomach and motion sickness." The woman before felt normal and nice. It was sad she hadn't come across any more Time Lords or Time Ladies, she liked them.
However, it was something in the sky that brought her notice, approaching gold specks. Something in her, survival instincts, something written into her genetics that screamed at her. RUN! "Come on, we should go now," She told them both. "I don't like the look of the gold things coming our way from the sky." She looked towards the white blond and tried to shake her. "Hey you gotta stay alert, we may need to do an awful lot of running in a moment."

The new woman seemed to be a bit of a skank, at least that is the impression she gave with her clothing, or lack there of. Yet, Izzy wasn't about to hold it against anyone for having a specific style. Steadying herself slowly, the voices of the pair began to infiltrate Izzy's ears, and she swiftly shook her head, "No, no. I'm good," she lied. Her stomach was indeed still upset, but she didn't really want anyone's help since she figured it would die down rather swiftly. Yet, the two still seemed to be worried about her, even more so when the ginger spoke about having to move soon and something in the air? Blinking slowly, Izzy's eyes drifted to the sky and she couldn't see much of anything at first. With a closer look, her goggles began to pick up something in the distance, and she perked a brow. It was hard to tell what it was, but she was certain the ginger did not find its presence to be a good thing.
On her own two feet again, Izzy began to walk away from the current location, though she wasn't quite sure where she was going as she moved along. But, since the ginger was concerned, Izzy thought that any place would probably be better. However, she also wondered if she needed some sort of protection. 'Course, she only had her vortex manipulator, and she had no idea how to use that, so it was out of the question. Leading the way, the silent platinum blond trotted towards the alleyway she had come out of, remembering quite well that she saw an open cellar door there. Yeah, she was feeling sick and stumbling around, but she was still a very perceptive young woman. Her eyes closed for a moment as she walked along though, feeling her stomach reel with some regret about the jaunt she had taken for a second time. Time travel was clearly rough on anyone with these silly devices, so she would need to work on that, eventually. For now, her eyes opened again and she lead the way to the cellar door that was thankfully still open. Jogging swiftly down the stairs, Izzy's eyes were met with darkness, so she was forced to fumble around for a light switch, which her fingers found rather quickly and flipped on the lights. They temporarily blinded her, but it passed quickly as she saw that the cellar held quite a few things. Most of which were farming supplies, like hoes and tills, but also a few mechanical pieces like an engine. Clearly it was someone's little workshop where they fixed stuff up. A soft chuckle came to her lips at that thought, but she quickly focused on an exit.
There were several doors in the cellar, but only one truly caught Izzy's gaze since it was the only door with a lock beneath the doorknob. That meant it was going to be the one door that lead somewhere, or maybe no where. Though, by Izzy's calculations, it would lead somewhere that wasn't a dead end. Not even looking to see if the other two were following, Izzy walked towards the door, snatching up a small shovel from a table and stuffing it into her belt. It was for protection and she didn't seem to care it was also considered as steeling. Reaching the door, she grabbed the doorknob and gave it a twist, but it did not budge. "Locked," she muttered to herself while she took the little shovel she stole. Shoving the shovel into the crease of the door and its frame, Izzy worked it down until she heard a click. Twisting the knob again, she put the shovel back in her belt and now looked back at the others. Her gaze only lasted a few seconds before she trotted up the stairs without a word spoken or even an explanation of her actions. Given Cypher's reaction, Izzy figured there was not enough time for any interaction right now, so she was action girl and got what needed to be done, done.

Jaya, if asked, would insist that she was a very normal, boring, everyday sort of girl. Plain. She went to a good school, lived in a nice neighborhood, and had good friends, and OK, so she liked strange music, and she was better than most when it came to dancing, and worse than all her mates at maths, and she sometimes had bad dreams about sisters she didn’t even have, but that didn’t make her unusual-didn’t make her weird-at all. In fact, it made her that much more normal. Everyone had eccentricities, unless they came out of a movie or an old, outdated Girl’s Book, or something.
Even sneaking out of the house to go clubbing was new and different for her, and that was practically mandatory for all high school students. When things started going pear shaped, she really didn’t have any sort of experience to draw on.
So the flailing panic in the back of her mind? That thing screaming runrunrunRUNRUNRUN? That was new. And terrifying. More so than aliens on the telly at Christmas, and sick girls, and the gold things in the sky.
“Yes. I mean, no. No pockets, but, yeah, we should... go. Hide or run or... something. What the hell are those things?”
Were there people who habitually carried ginger in their pockets? That sounded a bit…squishy. She supposed it was no more odd than carrying Grandad’s old pocket watch everywhere, or her little cousin’s stuffed dog. But, ginger?
She really didn’t think the blonde was good at all, even if she was on her feet again. Jaya followed her, anyhow, because the screaming thing in her head was getting hard to ignore, and anywhere else was better than here.
Even a dark, dirty cellar.
She almost balked. Did pause for a second. She hate hate hated being underground. Always had, probably always will. But the…the Things were getting closer, and this was stupid. She was far, far too old to be afraid of the dark!
Jaya shut the door behind them, and stumbled down the stairs, heart in her throat. The cool, logical part of her mind had thrown up her hands and walked away, but it didn’t take a genius to play hide and seek. Hopefully without the seek.
Earth didn’t have a good history with aliens showing up unannounced-every Christmas without fail, and the other two seemed to agree, even without words, that this was Trouble-and she was no kind of fighter, no politician who’d sweet talk their way to safety. Still, she met the blonde’s eyes without wavering. She might be a normal, boring, everyday...well, geek. Even if she didn't grab a make-shift weapon-she was more likely to smack herself in the face than do any damage-she wouldn’t go down without a fight.
"I'm Jaya." She shrugged with a wry grin. Didn't matter if the other two couldn't see her. "And I'm already sick of thinking of you two as the Ginger and the Blonde." Tag: Cypher, Izzy, and Daleks! Oh my! Look: www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=34787845 Currently: Still fobwatched. Crap.

Once they had entered the atmosphere, the five Daleks descended until they were low enough for their teleports to be accurate. The five gold specks vanished from the black blanket of the sky like five stars winking out in unison; and five simultaneous flares of light from teleports lit five of the dingy backstreets of the near-silent human city.
The first Dalek, on running a rapid four-dimensional scan of its surroundings before swivelling its eyepiece for a more detailed analysis, found itself in the middle of a narrow street lit by a few failing street lamps. Black windows rose high above it on either side; the curtains were drawn, but the Dalek quickly enabled its perception filter just in case.
The second appeared out of the creeping smog in what could once have been a carpark, but was now bare, cracked tarmac scattered with litter and the occasional wreck of a broken, obsolete television set. Within moments, it had scanned the technology for activity and, detecting none, began to move towards the centre of the planned circle.
The teleport light from the third Dalek reflected off close walls and a low ceiling - it had appeared in an empty garage below one of the towering skyscrapers. Its eyestalk rotated slowly and focused in and out on the walls as it calculated their relative densities, searching for the weakest point to blast its way out.
A fourth Dalek found itself in a small alleyway containing nothing but a single closed door and a few dustbins. It remained where it was for several tens of rels, its auditory sensors on maximum sensitivity for the slightest sound that could lead it towards the lifeforms it sought.
The fifth Dalek sensed human activity the moment it landed, and quickly switched on its perception filter. It wouldn't do for the humans to become aware of their presence. Infiltration and manipulation, the Emperor had commanded. It turned its eyestalk slowly, and stopped short on coming up against the back of a large, muscular human in a black, leather jacket. The human stood beside an open door and appeared to be conversing with small groups of female humans as they attempted to pass through the door; behind them, the very air jarred with a relentless, rhythmic vibration of several resonating frequencies, and coloured lights pulsed from the doorway.

Cypher was freaking out on the inside, she was also trying to clamp down on her mental shields that she had created with the rough guide of the books she had found but they were still fragile. Without a proper teacher, they wouldn't be strong enough to keep out any Gallifreyans if they chose to invade her mind and rip it apart. So she dealt with what she had at the moment and that was a small group of girls and a bunch of gold things coming after them.
"I'm Cypher," The ginger haired woman offered. "I may know of a place that's safer," She offered. The only thought she was having at the moment was getting to the safety of her Telephone Booth shaped TARDIS, her red box that was not too unlike a certain Time Lord's Blue Box. She followed Izzy and when they opened the door, Cypher smiled, in the middle of the room stood her beautiful TARDIS. It would be considered out of date but it was her beautiful ship.
It was then something registered in her hearing. "What's that whirrling?" She asked. Cypher had known there were two exits to the room she had arrived in her TARDIS with, but she wasn't entirely sure where the second had led to, now she knew. Cypher hurried to the ship, not realizing that above the earth, the Emperor was giving the order for extermination of all human race while the Doctor worked on creating a weapon that would wipe out the world.
Another thing Cypher didn't know, the TARDIS she loved so much, wasn't going to be starting for quite a while. She pulled out a key and unlocked. "Come on girls! Don't have time!" Cypher told them.

tell me something, something that can move medon't tell me lies, i swear you're gonna lose mebig like an ocean, jealous of the fish it feedsyour devotion swimming inside of me( - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ) The darker woman seemed discontent at leaving this scenario without anyone giving out their names. That left Izzy in a rather difficult possession since she wasn't quite sure if she wanted to be sharing her name so soon. So, Izzy let the ginger give her name first while Izzy stayed quiet and simply looked at Jaya for a moment. When her eyes diverted to Cypher, a brow perked slowly since she knew Cypher was not so much a name, but rather just a word, one that made her think that Cypher was some sort of key to something. Shaking the thought from her head though, she spoke only one word, "Izzy," was all that managed to slip from her lips. Izzy was the name she preferred, so it was the one she gave without any thought.
When Izzy opened the door, Cypher seemed to be rather excited until something seemed to disturb her thoughts. Izzy perked a brow and listened closely, unsure what Cypher was actually talking about since she couldn't quite pick up the sound. Though, hearing was not her expertise, she was better with her sight rather than her hearing. Shrugging, Izzy's eyes slowly darted towards the only other door in the area, and her head tilted to the left a bit. For some reason, Izzy couldn't get past the feeling that something was beyond that door and a small part of her wanted to walk over and open it. Like whatever was behind was something she wanted to tinker with. However, her thoughts were disrupted, and she quickly realized she had taken a few steps towards the door before her attention diverted back to Cypher and the telephone box. Noticing the key in Cypher's hand caused Izzy to wonder what was honestly going on. After all, who had a key to a telephone box and why it was in the middle of a room baffled her even more. So, it was only natural that it caught her curious nature as she bounced towards the box and entered without hesitation. Instantly she saw how large it was within, and a smile crossed her lips as her chocolate gaze settled upon the console in the middle. Now this piece of machinery screamed at Izzy, so she quickly found herself rushing towards it. At first, her hands hovered over the console as a desire to touch everything took her, but her main confusion was what to touch first. Oh yes, she was going to tinker with this machine, and no one could stop that from happening. In fact, it was doubtful Izzy could even hear the other two girls since her entire focus was upon Cypher's tardis.
Finding the perfect place to start, Izzy's fingers came down to the console and the moment her skin connected with the metal, a sharp shock rushed through her body and tossed her back a few steps. Waving her hands as her fingertips felt like they were on fire, Izzy cursed silently to herself before walking back up to the console and examining it even closer. She was determined on tinkering with its mechanics and nothing would stop her from doing such a thing! Though, the only question now was what was creating the surge that shocked her. Biting her lower lip, she beat her brain with questions and ideas of what it could have been, but Izzy was brought out of her little machine trance...
