Thud.
That was the sound Sally's body made as it hit the grass. At least she thought it was grass, it might have been anything since her eyes were still closed and her mind was still slightly absorbed by the darkness of her abrupt journey through time and space.
All because of the touch of one nefarious garden statue. Alright, so it wasn't just a statue, it was an evil, alien assassin in the shape of a garden statue, but somehow that still didn't make it that much better.
Sighing to herself, Sally knew what she would see when she opened her eyes--not the almost condemned house she had previously been exploring, but instead a completely new surrounding, in a completely different time. It was the second part of that that was so frightening to her, moving from place to place was one thing, she'd been known to sleep walk from time to time, but changing complete times was quite another. To know that she was somewhere in the past, but not know completely where was a very, very intimidating thought.
Her friend Kathy had been sent to 1920 when she had been touched by an angel, but the Doctor had been sent back to 1969...for all Sally knew, she could be even further back in time than that. Repressing a shiver, she knew she couldn't keep her eyes closed forever, just like she couldn't stay in the place she was right now forever. Sooner or later she was going to have to face the repercussions of her sacrifice. She could only hope Jack had escaped the Angels.
Taking a deep breath, Sally finally opened her eyes, and found herself in what seemed to be the middle of a park. So it was grass, she thought running her hands across the greenery, at least I wasn't deposited in the middle of a road, or underwater. For some reason, the idea of an Angel sending her back to drown didn't seem completely unlikely.
Tentatively moving her limbs to check for anything broken, Sally moved into a sitting position and hesitantly began to brush grass off of her jeans and coat. For some reason the idea of cleaning herself up for whatever time she was in made it all the more real that this was her new home. Her new time.
Time to get living, or time to get dying.

Jack didn't even give the man a proper farewell, too interested in the letter he'd been handed, but he wasn't sure the man minded too much. He'd been a complete ball of nerves and didn't even seem to want to be there at all, but Jack was glad he had been because he had exactly what he needed to get back to Sally. To save her. He couldn't help but chuckle reading through the letter because, even though she'd been sent off into another time and had been so scared about that, she was very optimistic in the letter and still worried about his own well-being.
"Oh, don't you worry about me, Sally Sparrow," he mumbled to himself, tucking the letter and picture into his inside coat pocket, lifting his arm to set the date and location from the letter into the vortex manipulator.
It occured to him that the United States was a big place, but he tried close to NASA, where he knew the ship to be launched, and after a few times of trying, searching different areas, he came to a grassy field. He'd been about to head of to search for Sally when he spotted a pair of very wide eyes peeking at him from over some bushes. A curious child.
Lifting his hand in a wave, he smiled. "Hello there, he called right from where he was, not wanting to try and approach the child and risk scaring him off. "I don't suppose you've seen anyone just appear like this before have you?" he asked, on the off chance that Sally had come through here too.
And to his luck, the kid's eyes widened a little more and he nodded, a motion barely caught by Jack because it was so subtle, as though the kid couldn't fathom what was happening. But this was brilliant. He'd seen Sally... or at least someone that could possibly help him look, though what were the odds of another time traveler ending up here just before him?
"Wanna tell me which way she went?" he asked.
The kid hesitated before nodding a little again, this time lifting a hand to point in the direction the woman had gone. Jack gave him a salute and a smile before heading in the direction he'd been pointed toward. He got about a fourth of a mile in hardly any time at all, sprinting to ensure finding her as soon as he could. It was then he spotted a figure not all that far off.
"Sally!" he called out, hoping he was right. Hoping it was her.

It seemed that Sally had only been alone mere moments when she heard her name being spoken. Now who could that be, Sally thought, her brain still sort of fuzzy from her abrupt transfer to the past, I don't think that anyone knew that I was going to be visiting the past today. The last thought included a small, grim chuckle. Even if she tried to hide it from herself, her body still seemed to realize just how upset Sally Sparrow really was.
Of course, if Sally had even decided to put two and two together and use some deductive reasoning, she would've realized the only person it could be. Well, two, and one was far more likely.
Captain Jack Harkness.
But instead, since her brain was apparently broken from her fall, Sally instead turned around, waved a hand and said, "What!? Can't a girl get a moment's respite to think over newly changed circumstances?" Alright, well that was a little uncalled for, she thought to herself, immediately regretting the snappish tone, but wait, why would someone even know you were here, unless it was the very recent past?
With those thoughts intruding on her quiet surroundings, Sally had no choice but to turn and stare at the quickly approaching stranger. A stranger who turned out to not be so strange after all. Well...at least she knew him, he might be strange--probably was in fact. "Jack Harkness!!" Sally exclaimed, unable to resist running the rest of the distance between them and looking him over with a bright smile lighting up her face.
"The Angels sent you to the same time...where ever that is?" She asked, feeling that that was the only logical reason why he would be in the same period as her, whatever time that was. "I didn't think they would do something so generous." The last was said with a laugh as she poked at him.
And then yet another thought hit her. Damn my brain, always seems to come up with the worst thoughts. "I guess the angels weren't just satisfied with me, then, they had to have you, too. I'm sorry, about that, I was really hoping that one person would be enough and that you'd get away."

It was amusing to hear Sally so vocal about her frustration with the situation. He hadn't known her long, but he liked to think he was a good judge of character after being a con man for such a long time and part of the Time Agency before that. Sally Sparrow just didn't seem the type for random outbursts, but it seemed he had been wrong and he chuckled to himself, slowing as he got closer and she turned around, the surprise evident on her face before a smile broke out.
"Yes, well..." he started, scratching the back of his head, but she carried on before he could, apologizing for something that really hadn't affected him at all, though he supposed there was no way she could know that. Not like he'd told her.
"Oh, what's life without a little time travel?" he told her with a grin. "Actually, I might have challenged them a bit," he admitted. "I didn't end up here though. Actually, I'm not sure where I ended up. I wasn't there for long," he said, waving it off because it really didn't matter. "You see, I have this... thing," he started, tapping the vortex manipulator on his wrist. "It allows me to travel through time and space... Wasn't sure you'd enjoy being stuck in another year, no matter how fun it is to visit," he said with a little shrug.
He knew about that all too well. He loved traveling through time and space, especially if The Doctor was on the journey with him, but he always ended up back on Earth. And so many time periods felt like home, but none more than around the time of the war and the time with Torchwood 3. He was always returning to those times because they were familiar and he liked that, liked knowing he could return there.
"I don't suppose you'd want to explore a bit before I take you back home?" he offered thoughtfully. This year, 1969, was a good year. And maybe after they could make another little jump in time and space before he took her back. It wasn't often he had someone with him these days and it got a bit lonely.

"You are a very strange person, Jack," Sally said with a twist of her lips. Life without time travel, eh? She hadn't even known such a thing was possible until a couple of years ago and now, it seemed where ever she looked someone seemed to know a thing or two about it. "Are you even human?" She asking, tilting her head, she remembered him mentioning immortality under his breath, but still. "Haha, well that is a strange question to be asked, I'm sure. It's just that the only other person I met who traveled through time was the Doctor, I'm sure he wasn't human."
Looking over his shoulder at the thing Jack was prodding with his fingers, Sally couldn't help shaking her head. She had never seen anything like that in her life, it just sort of looked like a really large digital watch. "What is it?" She asked curiously, "And you know where I am!? I've only been here around ten minutes and have yet to even talk to anyone! You just showed up...the last person I saw back in my own time and the first here. Aren't you special?" Sally teased.
"I am glad you are here," Sally said earnestly, "I doubt I would like staying, even though I don't really have much waiting for me back in 2012." The last said with a shake of her head before running her hands through her honey colored hair--a nervous gesture. "So you can take me back then?" What luck, Sally thought, I get sent to the past, but end up having a ride back. I doubt many victims of the angels could say that.
Willing herself to shut her mouth, Sally had finally realized that she was talking a mile a minute, another trait of hers that wasn't her favorite. Instead she just wanted to listen to what Jack had to say. And boy was she glad of that. He was offering to travel with her. Him. Sally Sparrow. How unlikely. And to think this day had started out like any other. Well, that day in the past.
"Oh! I would love to," She gushed, feeling ecstatic, "What time did you say we were in?" She wasn't quite sure he had said exactly when they were, just that he had managed to find her. Maybe she had left a letter for him, or something...she had been contemplating doing that before he'd randomly shown up. "But it doesn't really matter, I would love to see any time, no matter when."
Yes, today--whenever that was--was shaping up to be wonderful.
ooc;; Ugh, my muse ran away. >_< I promise the next one will be better! Also, did we just make a paradox? Sally hadn't sent the letter yet, so...bleh.

"You've met The Doctor?" Jack asked, surprised. "That man... wonderful, isn't he? One encounter just isn't enough. Those companions of his, they're lucky," he mused before chuckling to himself. "You're right, though, he isn't human. I am, though. Or at least I wad born human. I'm not sure what to call myself now with this whole immortality thing," he admitted. She had met The Doctor, had dealt with aliens... as far as he was concerned, she could be trusted to believe most of what she saw without feeling the need to tell the authorities. And that was fine by him.
He smiled at how things weren't clicking right away. A bit like the Doctor, she was... clever, always putting two and two together, but even the clever ones had their moments he supposed. "Actually, I got a letter, that was how I was able to find you. Which we have to make sure you still write or it will cause a paradox and The Doctor will be coming after both of us then, and not in a good way."
He led the way toward town, figuring they could just go with the flow. Maybe they weren't causing a paradox at all, maybe things were only just falling into place. The Doctor didn't believe in fate, but Jack had once, before everything, and he liked to think it still played a big part in people's lives.
"We're in 1969," he told her. "Just before the landing on the moon. And yes, I can get you back, no problem, but for now let's just have a bit of fun, yeah?"
It had been ages since he'd been somewhere that he didn't have to fight aliens, though he supposed he had fought aliens, he'd just made an earlier day of it than usual and was basking in the aftermath of it. No harm in that, right?
"Alright, I guess first thing's first, we should have you write this letter," he suggested, pulling out the envelope to show her, the letter obviously old even though it hadn't been written yet. But the ink was fading fast because it hadn't been written yet and was fading out of existence.
"No, I take that back," He corrected as they came into town, people staring at Sally, and unfortunately it was not because of her striking beauty. She wasn't exactly wearing the 'norm'. Jack, he could blend in no matter what year he was in, his look a classic one, but if they were going to blend in, Sally would have to change. "How do you feel about vintage clothing, Sally? Well... new clothing, but vintage for you. What do you say?"

"Oh yes," Sally said quickly, with a nod and a smile, "He was wonderful, although he didn't know me when he met me, cause everything hadn't happened to him yet. It must be rough being out of time with moments," Sally said musingly. She couldn't imagine it, and maybe that was for the best, she was only human after all. Of course, Jack surely wasn't...no matter what he said. Pretty far removed.
When Jack pulled out the letter, Sally couldn't help but be a bit shocked, that was her writing! And a photo of her....but it looked so old, so creased. The colors and ink faded. Reaching out a tentative hand, she touched it and said, "I guess I'm not surprised, I had been thinking about writing a letter, once I realized what had happened--much like my friend Kathy had done, I couldn't have you worrying about me, like I know you would've." Sally teased before noting how the surroundings around them were rapidly fading from trees and grass to civilization.
60s civilization. Sally could see the strange looks and it definitely made her feel a bit uncomfortable--nothing was worse than being judged instantly and without reason. Well, without much reason. Quickly looking down at her clothes and then comparing then to the people eyeing her, Sally knew it wasn't just the grass stains that were causing those looks. "Hm, you're probably right, I can't keep walking around like this...I stick out like a sore thumb," She muttered, part of her nervous that she would forget what the letter said. That's preposterous, she reassured herself, you wrote it once, of course you'll be able to write it again. What matters is fitting in. Just like school.
"How about that place, looks like a boutique of some variety," She said with a gesture towards what appeared to be a mini-shopping plaza of some variety. "I bet I can find oodles of bright patterns and short dresses there," Sally said with a laugh, grabbing Jack's arm in hers and strutting towards the shop. She wasn't going to show herself afraid of some common townspeople...even if she had to act like one of them.
The letter can wait, let's just have fun shopping.
That was the last thought she had before a solitary man ran right in front of their path, almost barreling into her, who being pursued by a group of several others.

Though Jack wasn't very fond of shopping, he did have quite the eye for what was in at any given time. Sure, he kept to the same style himself, but he rather liked the look and it was timeless. It was either normal, or vintage and always looked good on him, though maybe that was just his narcissism talking.
But the fact of the matter was, seeing Sally try on all the different clothes of this time period would definitely not be one of the worst ways he could spend his time. He was just sure the clothes would suit her and he was curious to see if he was right.
Of course, they didn't even make it to the first shop before they were nearly trampled by some guy, a group of guys chasing after him. And it didn't look to be all in good fun, either. He looked like he was in trouble. And even if he wasn't, they had nearly plowed over a woman and in this day and age, that was not something to take lightly.
"Hey!" he called out in a deep, rumbling voice-the one he used when he felt he needed to be heard.
He glanced over at Sally before motioning in the direction they'd gone with a tilt of his head before taking off after them, hand going to his hip where there was a gun hidden away. He wouldn't shoot-unless for some reason they did first-but it would be a nice scare tactic if it came to it.
Rounding a corner, he watched as one of the guys shoved the one that had been running into a building. He was sneering at him, obviously angry, but Jack couldn't make out he was saying and moved closer. They all looked to be about twenty-five or twenty-six and with his looks being closer to forty, that made him their senior. Someone to be respected, especially with the look of someone in the military.
"Is there a problem here, boys?" he questioned as he approached them. "If there is, six against one is hardly fair. Want to tell me what this is about?"
"Yeah I'll tell you what this is about! Johnny here was trying to steal my girl!" the boy holding the one he guessed to be Johnny snarled.
"Oh, aren't you charming. I can't imagine why she'd enjoy the attention of another guy," Jack smarted off. "Still, I hardly think that's any reason to nearly trample right over an innocent woman, don't you agree?" he asked, motioning in the direction he'd come from with Sally, whom he assumed had followed, though he didn't look over his shoulder to check.

Sally wasted no time following Jack to the alley, brushing herself off the entire way. It wasn't that she was mad, she was just a bit flustered. One moment she was excited for shopping, something that rarely happened, and next she was almost run over by a large group of guys. She just needed to relax and breath.
Otherwise she might just rip the guys' heads off.
Lucky for her, Jack was already confronting them, giving her the much needed moment to cool her head. Or so she thought, before he gestured to her--putting her on the spotlight. Forcing a smile on her petite face she said, "I'm willing to accept apologies," before turning her pointed gaze on each and every one of them. Maybe that wasn't the best way to start off her first visit to the past, she was putting out the air of don't-touch-me and stay-away. How was she ever going to get to know the people around here, if she didn't act nicer?
While she had been thinking, eyes flashing the whole time, several of the men has mumbled some apologies, they didn't sound very meaningful, but she had to take what she could get. Sometimes. "Well that wasn't so bad," Sally said with a bigger smile before starting in on some arguments to diffuse the situation. Hopefully one would be successful.
"Now tell me something," Sally said, "Why are you five here?" That question was pointed at the five extra guys who just didn't belong, the group chasing the one man. "I can understand why he would want to be here, defending his claim on the lady in question," she said, referencing the very angry man pinning Johnny, "But any more than one on one just isn't right or honorable. Have you ever heard of a duel with six on one side and one on the other? Just not right."
"But honestly, I'm a lady myself and I must say, if one of my would-be suitors came to me and said he had been beaten up for being in love with me, I would probably take pity on him...and be angry at the other one," Sally said, tapping her forefinger on her lips. "And that would probably be magnified if he'd made for unfair odds."
Well, there, Sally thought, hopefully that's enough to make some of them see reason at least. Cause that's the end of my ideas. Hopefully leader-man isn't so obtuse to see the logic in what I'm saying...otherwise I'm going to have to turn this over to Jack. At the thought of Jack, she quickly turned and flashed him a smile. She was oh-so-glad he was here, she just couldn't imagine being in this time period all alone.

Oh, nicely said, Sally Sparrow. Jack was becoming more and more impressed with this young lady and he bet The Doctor had liked her too. She was very respectful, even when telling off a bunch of boys that could care less whether she was or not. And honestly, Jack wasn't surprised when the guy shoved his victim against the wall once more before backing away a bit, pointing a threatening finger in the other's face.
"You stay away from Abby, you hear me?" he growled out, snarling a little before he walked off, motioning for his gang to follow him, a couple of them glaring at Jack as they passed, but none of them daring to look at Sally.
When they were out of sight, the boy's shoulders sagged with relief and he let out a whoosh of air, obviously glad to have been helped and not even seeming embarrassed that he'd needed it. Six against one had given him no chance had he been macho or not. He found no shame in admitting that.
"I... owe you my life," he said breathlessly after a moment, looking at the ground and making it unclear which of them he was speaking to, if not the both of them. When he finally did look up, it was Sally that his eyes fell on, though he did glance at Jack. "That's no offense to you, of course, but had it not been for her, they still would have fought. They just would have tried to bring you down as well," he told him. "Still, thank you for trying to help."
Jack shook his head a little, waving it off. It was nothing. In fact, he had expected someone to jump in before him. It was the right thing to do. Fighting aliens most of his life hadn't made him forget plain and simple respect and chivalry. "No need for thanks. Anyway, I'm Captain Jack Harkness. This lovely lady here is Sally Sparrow," he introduced, motioning to Sally with that Charming smile of his.
{ooc; ugh not my best but i'll make it up to you! <3}

Keeping her light brown eyes trained on the backs of the retreating men, Sally nodded when they disappeared around the corner. There, one problem settled without violence, Sally felt pleased at how well it had turned out. Well, maybe a little with of it, but it doesn't sound completely unwarranted, She thought as she returned her gaze to the slightly battered man in front of her.
Johnny.
"Oh, think nothing off it," Sally said with a chuckle, "I do this all the time. Everyday in fact. I save one person. Her face cracking with a bright smile showed the lie for what it was, but it was still entertaining never the less. "Don't worry about it too much, but maybe you should stay away from this Abby girl? I doubt she's worth your life..."
Sally was quickly interrupted by Johnny rushing to the defense of his beloved, "Oh no, no, no, she's perfect. And wonderful, and totally worth all of this," He said gesturing at his numerous scrapes and scuffs, "Besides, that guy is a tool ((Might not actually say that back in 1969, but oh well)) and she really wants to be with me. Still, I have to do something to make it up to you! Anything!" He insisted, moving closer to Jack and Sally.
Sally didn't know quite what to make of his pleading, but maybe she could think of something. Maybe she had the perfect idea in mind. "I tell you what, I just thought of something...and it's going to sound preposterous, but you did say anything..." With that Sally grabbed his arm in one hand and Jack's in another and began leaving the alley.
"We really must find some pen and paper...I need to write a letter," She said with a bright smile on her face.
"A letter?!" Johnny said, trying to fathom what she meant, "Why would you need to do that, you said you had a task for me."
"Oh, trust me, I do..." Sally said with a mischievous wink, just trying to get Johnny riled up. "But first I need to write this letter." With that being said it was time to return to town.
"Oh, and Jack," Sally said, gripping his arm a bit tighter, "I think we still need to go shopping, right?"
ooc;; That was mostly talk, I'm afraid...I didn't quite know how to wrap that part up. I'm afraid I didn't give you much to work with though. I'm sorry!! <33

"Yes, well, your clothes aren't exactly typical, you know," he teased Sally, nudging her with his hip. He pulled the letter from his pocket again, looking at the script. It was more faded now and he had to squint on certain words to figure out what they said, but it was still readable. "But now we've gotta do this first or the ink will fade more."
He led the way to a small soda shop he'd seen earlier, finding them a table in a back corner and going to get them all drinks. He leaned against the counter, that charming smile on his lips as the young girl, maybe sixteen, mixed their sodas. She was cute, but a little young for him, so he kept the flirting to a minimum.
"You wouldn't happen to have a pen and paper handy would you, sweetheart?" he asked when she handed over the first of the drinks.
"Oh sure, there's probably something in the back, I'll check for you once your drinks are made," she told him, returning the bright smile. When she'd finished the drinks, she handed them over and disappeared into the back for a moment, bringing him a slip of paper that had a small design at the header, just like the note in his pocket did and he smiled, taking the pen from her as well.
"You are such a lifesaver, thank you," he told the girl, flashing her a wink before gathering the drinks, pen, and paper, and heading over to the table. He got the drinks to their owners and took a sip of his own as he fished the letter out of his pocket. "Alright, here we are. And here's your pen and paper," he told Sally, handing them over. "Would it be faster if I read it out or would you prefer to copy it by looking?"

”I know, I know,” Sally said, disentangling her hands from the menfolk to pluck at her clothes, ”And so very filthy,” She added with mock-irritation, looking over the grass stains on her jeans and white blouse. Anyone who knew her at all knew that she didn't mind getting her hands—and clothes—dirty when the situation required it, or thrust her into it as in today's exciting events.
Following Jack's lead to the soda shop, excited for something to quench her thirst and to get this note written, Sally made sure to not let Johnny out of her sight. Now that she had piqued his interest, she doubted her would want to leave until he at least knew what the task was, but there was always the chance that he might think she wanted him to kill someone or something extreme like that.
Sitting in her little corner of the shop, she watched all the other people chattering and laughing, but she had more important things to do—namely fixing this paradox so that the Doctor didn't come and skin her or something. She doubted that would be the case, but she'd rather not risk it. Talking quietly to Johnny about what she needed done and about how she was pretty sure that he was going to end up with Abby once this all blew over, Johnny seemed remarkably willing to perform the task, even though he found it to be pretty crazy nevertheless.
By the time Jack came back, pen and paper in hand, Sally was laughing and joking like all the rest of the customers of the shop. ”Hey Jack, Johnny was just telling me how he has plans to propose and all that as soon as this is over, isn't that great?” She said with a chuckle and a wink over Johnny's head. ”Still we should probably get down to business now.”
Grabbing the paper in hand, she looked up at Jack and said, ”Oh, I definitely think you should dictate it to me, it just seems easier. What if I'm in a completely different mood now since you're actually here this time?” It didn't seem like that was how it worked, but who was Sally to judge?
Writing in her careful hand, Sally took down the letter and finally sealed it, handing it to Johnny. ”Okay, that should be all of it...now what are you supposed to do again?” She asked Johnny, wanting to make sure that this was going to all work out perfectly.
”I'm supposed to have my future son deliver this letter to a house on _______ lane, on July 22 around noon to a guy by the name of Captain Jack Harkness, or something,” He said, basically citing verbatim what Sally had said 5 minutes beforehand, ”Gosh you guys are insane, but I'll do it, I promise.” With that, he took the letter, shook Sally and Jack's hands before disappearing.
Turning back to Jack, Sally asked anxiously, ”Can you look at the letter? Does it look fine? Did he do it right? Cause otherwise...I'm going to chase him down and make him wish he kept his word...” Well, she wasn't really going to be that violent, but maybe something close. ”And more importantly, are we finally able to have those much-mentioned adventures now?”

After living for so long, Jack had learned to be patient and sipped at his drink while Sally copied down the letter, watching her as she went, the way the ink flowed across paper. He sat forward when she was finished, listening to the pair of them, but making no movement to interact much with either of them, not wanting to waste time that the letter could be written in.
When it was done and Johnny had gone, he was about to suggest shopping, but stopped when Sally asked about the letter. He'd forgotten all about it! He pulled it out of his pocket, where he'd folded it and put it away when she was finished copying it. He unfolded it, a grin spreading across his face. The ink was faded, but only as much as it would have been by the time it reached him.
"Mission accomplished," he told her, standing and going to hug her. "Now, if you're finished with your soda, we need to get you something to wear so we can explore the town," he said, flashing her another smile.
He'd already lived through 1969 once, he wasn't all that impressed by the fashion or the cars, but the nostalgia did make him smile and he looped arms with Sally, tucking the letter back in his pocket as he led her out of the cafe and toward the shops. "We can buy a few things if you like, but not too much. And then you can decide what we do. I've lived through all of this before," he told her, not sure yet if she'd caught on to the fact that he was immortal or not, but it was obvious that he was a time traveler now and that was enough to ease her curiosity. He wasn't sure he wanted her to know everything. "And don't worry about how much time we have left. I can get you right back to when we left," he assured her. "Like we never left."

Now that the pressing business of the letter was behind them, Sally couldn't help feeling a bit accomplished and that she now had all the time in the world to relax back in the past. It was so strange to think that she was on holiday back in 1969, generally people just went to the beach or another country. Normal things like that. I guess it made sense, since Sally wasn't the normal, run-of-the-mill normal girl, either.
"Oh yes, bell-bottoms and flowery prints," She said with a bright smile as they left the soda shop, "I can hardly wait..." The truth was, that even if she sounded vaguely sarcastic about the clothes of the time, Sally was excited at the prospect of playing dress-up...and not sticking out like a sore thumb.
She walked with a bounce in her step towards the boutique as she listened to what Jack was saying about how time worked for him. "Well that's good, I would hate to have to rush through this without seeing any sights, especially the moon landing! I've never even seen the whole thing in my time, now I could see it in the flesh, right?" Sally said with a hopeful tone.
Pulling open the door to the shop, Sally held it open for Jack like a perfect gentleman, before following him in. "Don't worry this won't take too long, wouldn't want to waste your precious time," Sally teased before walking over to a rack of clothes. It was a true statement, though, she hated shopping--it always took too long.
Pulling out a likely dress, Sally held it up against her and looked down. She just knew she chose it because of the color. Darn it, why do I always choose military green, she found herself thinking before looking in the mirror, although, it does look nice, I think...
"What do you think, Jack? Is this good enough for taking a stroll around 1969? Do I deserve your company?" Sally asked, finally showing a bit of her flirtatious side. She really was starting to warm up to this gentleman.
